    FULL SPOILERS OF FRUMA

Lots of messy thoughts, needing this space mainly just me putting them in words, sharing and dumping my feelings. Caution this is super super SUPER LONG why did I end up writing this much???

Will cover most stuffs but probably a lot about a few characters particular Tasim, did two fanart of him if you wish to check them out in “Your Work”!

I have completed all main & side quest + raid AND EPILOGUE + all secret discoveries (the only quest in game I haven’t done is ???), did not experience Fruma Mystery or any pre-release

Not planning to mention any secret discoveries specifically here just in case I spoil something without realizing!

    General thoughts:

Finished Apotheosis a few days ago, the story was overwhelmingly great. Music was insanely good, love the map and buildings. Mistwoods is my favourite and Auburn the second, lovely atmosphere and super scenic. Lines were beautifully written and the characters were SO GOOD. Big thanks to everyone involved creating Fruma. Oh and if possible PLEASE ADD “SEE YOU SOON” TO YOUTUBE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE I need it playing in the background without going afk in game every few minutes.

Can’t tell if it’s me or the story itself, but definitely felt like the emotional intensity and details were increasingly wild as you approach higher player level, which totally make sense. For myself it was January this year that I finally (properly) played Wynncraft , so most quests are still quite fresh to me and really glad I played enough to get myself here. Managed to complete the raid yesterday thanks to my party, not a raid player but I really need to get the sky clear and also to watch the epilogue.

Roughly chronological order of everything -

    Main - Queen's Recruit:

Took me a few weeks to finally speak to Tasim. Gate was super big, very interesting introduction to Her Majesty and the two Sovereigns. I NEED TO TELL TASIM!!! Anyway it felt successfully mysterious and intense

Can’t be certain what exactly did Her Majesty offered to Tasim, but coming to think about it Tasim probably been thinking that he is the only one who can pick up the role (of being the special Sovereign), and if no one else is suitable for it he is responsible in doing so in order to save the world

    Main - A Journey Home:

Was actually really cool going backwards the tutorial route. Interesting to connect bits and pieces from King’s Recruit

    Region - Auburn Forest:

Personally one of the two most beautiful region in Wynncraft (the other is somewhere west to Olux with a fisherman). The colours of the forest and everything is just magical. After completing everything I checked Recover the Past and was actually able to locate Tasim’s house back in Espren, really enjoyed the little details.

Love the music for Auburn (“Whisper”) such calming and nostalgic piece.

    Main - A New Beginning:

I really thought Zeph and Rex might turn out to be a couple at this time point but we all know how it turned out. Rex was really cool and, AND, after finishing all quests the sound of windchimes is just painful reminding you all about Syndra’s dead and everything UGH Syndra’s cave is so beautiful though

Was caught off guard seeing Zhiraok with Syndra, love how it was so unexpected

    Main - The Cursed One:

Love how Syndra hinted that Sui knows magic, festival was lovely

    Side - Undersupply:

I think this could be the first “proper fight” with the military?? Good to have a taste of it

    Main - Revelations in Fall:

I’m reading the wiki while putting these down but the page for this particular quest was kinda blank so I tried to recall… guess it’s the part where Syndra got the passports and got through but then Z came and you have to defeat him, the first proper “boss fight” in Fruma. I was summoner with morph + fantasia (through the whole storyline), movement spell was really helpful in fighting Z. The last part where Syndra finished off Z and Rex’s response was sooooo valid lmao, it’s nice seeing how Syndra knows Z closely and in my opinion I do love the somehow “friendship” between them

    Side - The Scarred Springs:

Very nice short side quest, love the calming atmosphere everything looked super relaxing. The foxes are SO ADORABLE!!!!!!!!

    Region - Industrial District:

I personally find it a bit difficult to navigate around as there are buildings everywhere and its kinda hard to tell where’s the safe area and where isn’t. Still a lovely district with its own story and it feels hard to see how people struggle there. And I’m the best fighting in narrow spaces given my combat style, just considering the uneasiness being in this district kinda reflects how the roughwork citizens lived their life. Love how the hardships were presented in such a direct and relatable way.

    Main - Solidarity of Steel:

Introduction to Steel Feather and the brothers, glad to see how Sui slowly developing her strength and confidence from this quest through healing the citizen. Yuman and Zeph are just so adorable from this point. Got to see Z and Soosu’s conversation and I have to say I really like these two, their relationship and trust to some extent stood out a lot to me throughout the storyline.

    Side - Off the Rails:

Did not expect it to turn out to be a detective game but enjoyed it a lot. The cut scenes of the train were super good! Really like this side quest was very fun to do

Main - The Price of Ingenuity:

Breaking into Soosu’s workshop and seeing Yus and Soosu being close was really nice, you can see Soosu’s struggles through her dairies and notes, the golems are adorable, totally love how Soosu is calling Zhiraok "Z" and apparently picked that up myself. Now we could probably guess that thing we stole from Soosu’s workshop will be playing a huge role in future updates and I’m really excited to see how would it work. On a side note I do really like Rex and Yulie’s friendship (or anything between them)! And Sui’s bread eating animation was sooooooooooo cute

    Side - Through the Pipes:

The raft thing is cool, I would say controlling it was a bit challenging but fun to do in general

    Side - The Missing Piece:

Yes I did The Missing Piece BEFORE Echoes of Change, in previous quests Syndra did hint that she has someone she wants to meet in Roughwork (when asking Z for passports to Industrial District?), but it still took me some time to realize that. The quest itself turned out to be pure sadness which was NOT expected but very appreciated, love the story and how it slowly built up.

And I am not exactly sure if it was this quest but there was a parkour thing you had to jump between vapours and move upwards? That was probably the part I struggled the most in the whole Fruma’s storyline just couldn’t figure it out UGHHH

    Main - Echoes of Change:

THE QUEST that have to be done - to be honest at this point you can already tell that Syndra will definitely die in this or the next considering the levels and undiscovered regions, but it is just painful to go through having that expectation on your mind. When speaking with Syndra and her not so subtlely referring to Elise I was like “Player YOU HAVE MET ELISE TELL HER WHAT HAPPENED!!!”. You could see how Syndra’s hatred and rage has been slowly consuming her through the years, and how this is HER only way out. Coming to think about it now, her “sacrifice” is essential here to push everyone forward without turning back, which eventually brought the resistance to grow and reach their goal. I would say her character is so well positioned in the story.

Tasim’s appearance during the festival was SO UNEXPECTED and I really need to know who or how the resistance was compromised??? Jiro was missing since this quest and I have a few other suspicions too, or maybe it may end up to be just changelings?? Unfortunately I spoiled myself and already knew that Tasim became a Sovereign way back at the end of Queen's Recruit, would really love to experience the first scene without knowing that…my fault.

Fighting with Z (again) and how Soosu showed up and betrayed Her Majesty was amazing to see, what does Soosu meant when she said “Z don’t make me kill you again” ??? I really need to know that NOW Also from this quest you could see how Z really cherishes his friends a lot, how that Z probably also did some personal sacrifice as intense as Syndra was asked to in order to reach his current position. Also him mentioning he couldn’t afford to lose two of his- presumably friends, you could see how he actually cares his friends and from later quests, his district. Would say personally he is the best Sovereign in Fruma. And the relationship between Soosu and Yus was SO PRECIOUS. Love it

    w3.png

    Region - Mistwoods:

I absolutely LOVE this district definitely my favourite. It is foggy all around and you can’t really see anything which makes it actually quite calming. Really enjoy hanging out in Aldwell so much and how the citizens just slowly back away if you were there without a medallion (didn’t realize this until reading comments from the soundtrack on YouTube, this is so cool!!!) If you afk at Aldwell all citizens will eventually fall down by trying to back away from you lmao. Music for Aldwell (“Misty Dew Drops”) was really nice! Matches the region perfectly

    Main - Shrouded in Mist:

Tensions between Sui and Yus was intriguing to watch. I can’t tell how much I like Rurie more and more working through the quests, very chill and at the same time super capable. The canopy and the Captains were so lovely and you can literally see their endurance as individuals and as a group.

    Side - Burning Bonds:

    Thanks for the medallion mate

    Main - True Colours:

Another heavy quest, Sui losing Mora and having to watch everything Gikyo did. Gikyo was so fun to watch and such a great character, such a shame we did not manage to spend much time with him (the player probably disagree). I really enjoyed the conversation with Rurie in the cell (and you actually get to see his face!), really thought that could be just Gikyo fooling around…

The fight with Gikyo was fun, very very satisfying to see Sui ending Gikyo. You could feel her despair, guilt and anger growing since this quest.

    Side - Celebrations in Smoke:

The festival was cool, green tea was tasty, have to agree on some comments I saw about the not-so satisfying ending – understandably needed to showcase how clans work though. THAT BURNT MEDALLION was so hard to find though like literally impossible for me without looking for the exact coordinates.

    Region - Highlands:

Beautiful region with blossoms and the landscapes, however quite unsettling especially outside Hyloch you could almost feel the intensity in the air. Very lonely building and castles making the place really unique. The music "Status" outside Hyloch has this "cold vibe" matching the landscapes there, the quietness, loneliness and feeling of distant definitely stood out.

    Main - Overture to Despair:

    w4.png

I have to mention how cute it was seeing Sui’s reaction back in the hotel when she managed to rescue Rex and Zeph. Seeing windchimes in Hyloch was really exciting considering what it meant. Speaking with Two was interesting, reminding me how much I NEED to know Lari’s whereabouts!! It is good to know Rex somehow managed to survive from Gikyo, and Zeph, well he will have Yuman later anyway

Meeting Tasim at the Dam was very… intense. Without mentioning how we were unable (yet?) to tell Tasim earlier about Aledar. When Tasim expressed that- somehow- he wishes the player was the one who sacrificed rather than Aledar, just looking back to Recover the Past and also the letter from epilogue you could probably tell the two had been catching up and definitely shared a closer relationship than with player. Tasim lost his home in Fruma, was sent to a foreign region, spent his life without close friend or family – existing without a home to return to. And now being told his only friend who he could trust was dead, and the murderer is standing in front of him. This is…devastating. I love his final line with player – so much pain in it.

    w5.png

    Side - The Strong Survive:

Nice side quest for players to learn more about how Fruma military works, kinda nerve wracking sneaking around the place but was fun. Really pleased to see Arnol at the safe zone afterwards!

    Main - Ensemble of Hope:

Very powerful story in regrouping and executing plans. It was such a delight to meet and catch up with Soosu at the cell! Really curious about Two’s intentions which we would probably get to know more about in future updates. It felt really nice too to be able to meet with the group – really enjoyed conversations with Rurie it was weirdly calming.

    Region - Aelumia Citadel:

I can’t say it is easy to navigate in a city being eternally chased by Gendarmes??? Still is a fascinating area and helped to build the intense atmosphere, fits in perfectly with the end game I would say. The music "Domain" around the place was such a nice... escaping music? Love the intensity and rhythm!!

Main & Raid - Apotheosis, The Wartorn Palace and Epilogue:

Majin’s boss fight was TOUGH, I would say the hardest among all in Fruma, but was definitely fun to do. Tasim’s and Queen’s were hard too but I was more well prepared with potions and finally got powders on my equipment properly after Majin’s fight which was very helpful. Rex was such a lovely character and it was so sad to see her die, relieved when Z managed to save her (and also everyone saving Z afterwards). Z is just such a caring, loving and responsible person I appreciate him so much. Sui’s power in holding the dam was incredible!!

After the boss fight - I can’t help but notice unlike when speaking together with other captains, if you talk to Cileon again afterwards alone, they will speak to you in full sentences, really thoughtful detail love it! Can’t wait (and hope) to meet recovered Rex and Z in later updates.

    w6.png

About Tasim - I don’t have words to describe how good it was Tasim’s boss music “What Will Be Done” – the composer note on Tasim’s belief in responsibility hit SO hard. Thinking about how Tasim being a kind-hearted person in the first place, using magic to heal Aledar back then, having this belief of wanting to help people, to save the others, how he made this choice to become a Sovereign knowing how hard it would be, and standing firm for his own choice – but then defeated by the player and having to dispose these beliefs. It is really hard to see how everything ended up being taken AWAY from him, and not even being allowed to hold on to it, to die with it. To me it is less about who’s right or wrong, but more about witnessing Tasim with his struggles, how he marched through the pain and lost, and finally made a decision FOR HIMSELF, but still, that decision was “proved” wrong by player and once again he was left with nothing. And with the same “responsibility” in his soul, he HAD to and will help fix everything. Referring to the description of Tasim's theme music "Believer"-
I can see the path forward, I think. What needs to be done... and why.
You'd know better than me, I'm sure! If you were here, you'd point out every little issue, as if they were obvious.
But I'm on my own. I'll just have to believe in myself in your stead.
    -T
From his other theme music "Faith" and "Ally" too you could find similar descriptions on him being unsure, hesitant, and finally, how lonely he must be in protecting a faith that even himself can't be certain of, how difficult it must be to believe in your choice, and how hopeless it must be for him to give that up in the end. I’m glad he is alive, still, to be honest I did not really mind having to end his life from what he said in “Overture to Despair”, but now I’m just really, really glad he is here. I went for “I won’t lose another friend”, but the other dialogue options – there are A LOT in them. In Fruma's storyline from time to time I felt like the player is the villain.

About the raid, mostly the conversation with Anathema – I felt a similarity between hers and Tasim’s struggle. It was sad to see where Anathema arrived and how her nature of war, I assume, led to this inevitable ending for her. How she managed to get hold of this human shell and safe space for herself, and still end up having to lose them.

Epilogue for Apotheosis after finishing the raid was solely painful. Reading the letter (with the music “See You Soon”, such a beautiful piece with that extended and slow pain immersing in sorrow and regret) has been very… I have been thinking about Aledar’s letter to Tasim, inviting him to The Journey Beyond. Did Aledar already know that they need a sacrifice for that mission? Did he invited Tasim hoping to use him as the sacrifice, was he just hoping to again fight alongside Tasim, or was it to spend more time with a friend, because Aledar was expecting himself to end up being the sacrifice? We will never know, Aledar is no longer here.

My favourite line from Tasim’s letter to finish up -

    w7.png

I don’t expect anyone to read through all but if you did read any of it thanks a lot! Just me having to put these thoughts somewhere. Would be really nice to know if you share similar thoughts! :)

Sovereign Two, most likely. Also Soosu literally knows where they live, so changelings are a real possibility.
This is a reference to the fact that the player and Sui just killed Zhiraok. If Soosu killed him in that moment, she would have been killing him again. Not because she's killed him before, but because he just died.
    You can actually see fog???????
    Eh?

Anyway Fruma was so good and Apotheosis definitely didn't make me cry no not at all.
Also alt Tasim route is a maybe, leaning toward yes.
