In terms of bomb bell and server switching, as someone who don’t use bombs often, I would argue that being able to pay for your own bombs instead of searching for servers to snipe bombs is actually already more P2W than bomb notifications. Since one guarantees that you will get the bomb effects, while the latter is slightly up to chance.

In a way, this is kind of the reason why Wynncraft speedruns do not exist, as the very nature of bombs meant buying your way to Level 100 exists. Buying ranks towards the leaderboards, also exists.

Even if one may say that buying bombs effects the whole server while the bomb notification and /switch is P2W because it affects only the buyer, inherently bombs are already P2W because people who buy more bombs would always experience more of it. One difference could be that one only lasts 20 minutes while the rank lasts forever. Overall, I feel like they are all fine and I really hate seeing the community being overly stiff about the definition of P2W... I really think Wynncraft is deserving of a bit more appreciation anyways for the free content they produce.

(Sidenote, with the size of Hypickle Skyblock, even they couldn’t run their game without changes to their method of monetization, I kinda expected something similar for Wynncraft to be honest, this is not a slippery slope, but a realistic view of it. Also since I do trust the Wynncraft Devs to know what is best for their own game)

The issue is it also benefits everyone else on the server,
The ability to see when bombs go off is beneficial to just yourself.

Exactly my point, there is no difference. A person buying their own bombs can experience its full effects without having to search for it. Most people buying bombs don’t care about the effects it gives other people, they care for their own progression. Once you think about it that way it is slightly less different than it is currently.

On a separate note, adding the feature to keys being used for opening dungeons for everyone basically killed dungeon bombs for good, and one of Wynncraft’s biggest source of income. I would say that the Wynncraft Devs definitely act more good for the community than anything else.

From a gameplay standpoint, being able to instant-delete classes makes powerleveling a much more lucrative moneymaking option than it used to be.

"Daily" implies at least once per day, right? Even very fast powerlevelers probably aren't going to run up against a cap of once per day.

I'm also a bit worried about bomb notifications, I guess some Champion ranked players would post bombs in bomb tracking threads/discord but it's mostly just going to give them a concrete advantage, everything else is at least mostly fine.

Memory (DRAM) is far different from a database (which is typically stored on disk). HDDs are significantly cheaper in larger quantities. While it is smart to reduce the amount of data we have stored, class backups still aren't a real concern. Furthermore, as a dev team, we conducted a cost-benefit analysis on the class backup feature for the small % of players specifically, so no worry there.

Under the condition that champion's reserves slots do not interact with and are completely separate from normal player slots, and that there will be enough of them, I see very little issue with /switch and bomb notifiers. In this case the fast switching and being notified faster than anyone else will in no way prevent or harm normal players who use the dungeon bomb discord. Really, there just has to be enough of them, but I doubt the issue of Champions overfilling into normal slots(I mean really, just look at all the HEROs) can be entirely prevented unless reserve slots are unlimited, which is doubtful, but a possibility. At least properly executed reserve slots would drastically lessen this.
