World They should add some new secret discoveries.

I don't know if anybody else would be interested in this, but I think that there could possibly be 2 new secret discoveries that show how the two other Twain brothers Dwendle and Rickeo were killed. I just feel like this would add on a bit of depth regarding the Twains. I mean, for being such important characters in the lore of the Wynn province, we sure don't know a lot about most of them.

Marius:died when he was old and everyone fought at his funeral
Theorick: obvious, went into portal and froze in Ice Barrows
Rickeo: immolation lore shows he sacrificed himself and he became the Bane of the Great Bridge boss
Mael: got defeated by dark spirits iirc
Dwendle: he actually survived and had children, eventually ending in Twendle in the quest

 

The way one of their deaths is told currently is far better than a secret discovery

Read the title and thought 'this is gonna be bad', but actually, yeah, that's a perfectly reasonable thought.

I mean, the Twain lore probably needs an update anyway. I'm not quite sure, though. It's not, like, old old, but I suspect it's not in line with newer bits of lore, and it'll definitely need an edit when the WynnEx revamp comes around. Dwendle and Rickeo do just straight up disappear off the radar outside of, like, an SD or two. And what about the rest of the Twains? There's a lot more than just 5, they're the fantasy X-Men after all.

I mean, I would assume that item lore is cannon just because of the fact that the descriptions were deliberately put into the game, but I don't know if there are any item lore's that contradict other established pieces of the lore or anything, so I might not be the tight person to answer.

 

its been a long established precept of the ct that "item lore isn't canon" the best example is Cataclysm, which is a dagger that contradicts most lore tbh

Newer stuff is written to explicitly tie into the lore. Old stuff (like old apocalypse, cataclysm, and that sort of thing) isn't canon, but stuff like Syncope, Hadal, Convergence, Immolation, etc. are

This was actually planned during 1.19's development, but ended up being cut content. I do feel it'd be nice someday, especially for Dwendle who doesn't really have any content associated with him at the moment!
