    I'm not even joking, when I was thinking of a dumb landmark to make Therck stand out, and I saw some picture of stairs in the woods and that gave me the idea. iir the reason there are actually stairs that connect to nothing in real life is because the stairs up to a building would be made out of stone, but the building itself would sometimes be made out of wood. So over time the building vanishes, but the stairs remain.
