I walk over to him. "Hey"

 

He sighs.
"Yo. Can I get you anything?"

Okay, I'll get back to you later then.

 

I start walking around town, looking for people with bludgeons.

 

Investigation check.

 

9 + 0 = 9

 

You see some guards with bludgeoning weapon, placed on their back.
No people with any bludgeons in hand. No sign of any bloody weapons either.

 

I go back to the tavern to see what the guards are doing.

 

There are 3 guards in sight. Two seem to be talking to the customers. One keeping watch in the corner.
There might be more upstairs, but you don't know. Jonas is at his usual spot behind the bar, talking to some customers. (Spyro and Osk)

 

I keep watch outside of the inn.

 

Make a perception check, just to see if anything of interest crosses your eyes.

 

9 + 4 = 13

 

A few people go in and out of the inn, you hear some talking about the murder as they do.
One guard leaves the inn, heading out to somewhere you don't know.
One woman goes rushing inside as you keep watch.

 

I just keep watching.

 

Assuming I can see the woman, I look over toward her

 

Time is passing.
You see the sun starting to set on the horizon.

She goes over to one of the guards, to whom she starts talking.

 

I try to listen in

 

You move over a bit.

I wait still, opting to go upstairs and sleep once enough time passes.
