You pass the man in full armor as you make your way upstairs.
There you see Jonas comforting a female waitress.

 

"Is everything okay?"

 

"She's fine. But he isn't." Jonas says, pointing at an open door, leadign to a room.

 

I look inside and see the body
"Whoah, who would do this?"

 

"If I knew, I would have already have them put in jail." Jonas says.

 

"Seems like you might need some help. Don't want guests butchered now, do we?"

 

"Obviously. I mean.. if you want to help investigate, you're best of asking the guards. It's their job to keep us save, afterall."

 

Place my food down and get up to follow. As part of the circle of restoration, I should really be doing my job.

 

You arrive upstairs. Jonas is sitting down next to one of the waitresses and a woman is talking to him.

So you make your way downstairs and eventually outside.
Make a perception check to look for guards.

 

Assuming I've been here for all this, I join Enhanced in looking for guards.

I'll say you haven't been upstairs, but you just started looking for guards immediately when you saw the armored man do so.

You together found a group of 2 guards about a minute walk away from the inn.

 

"Hey."
I call them over.
"There's been a murder."

 

"A murder?! Where?!" One of the guards replies.

"Lead the way!" Says the other guard.

 

Seeing that the others went for guards, I wait there.

 

I casually lead the way back to the inn.

 

Jonas is... who? .-.

 

You make your way back to the inn.
You make your way upstairs to the body.
"Goodness. What happened here?" One of the guards says.

You watch as the armored man returns with two guards.
One of them asks: "Goodness. What happened here?"

Owner of the inn.

 

"Somebody bashed his head in. Have you seen anyone around with a bloody bludgeon?"
