She tries to pull her arm out of his grasp. She tries her best to sound confident and assertive.
"Look, I don't know how you expect an innocent suspected of a horrible crime that occurred mere minutes ago to speak, but it doesn't involve a lot of calm recollection. It's because I'm a witch, isn't it?"

 

Stepping back into the shadows is really difficult when half the tavern leaves.
Ceridwen reads the guy in the suits head.
Currently, he seems to just be observing everyone currently in the room until he lays his eyes on Ceridwen.
Thoughts shift from "Phase 1" and "Promotion" to "Neutralize the Outsider." Sometimes, his thoughts also shift to a conversation he was having with another person in a suit, however, the thought of the memory is a little foggy and so the conversation is indistinguishable.
The man starts to walk over to Ceridwen calmly.

So is Reina going to still take the gun or leave it with the man?

(The buildings aren't tall and you can basically hear the whole conversation Hodsonius and the Investigator had so far).

"Yes. It IS because you" the Investigator does a pointy finger gesture at you, "ARE a witch. And YOU were the ONLY witch working at this hospital! So tell me HOW you aren't suspicious?"

 

She tries to mask her fear as best as possible.
"And what makes you think it was someone who worked there? Surely I wouldn't blow up the only reason I haven't been lynched yet? When have I ever done anything that would suggest I was less than completely dedicated to saving lives? Your investigation is not helped by your blind suspicion of anyone magical, regardless of whether the evidence points to us or not!"

 

The gun flew 20 feet away. I won't be taking it.

 

“Avaunt.” She’d say telepathetically, lacing a jolt of mental pain into his mind if possible.

"Help me die."
Continue eating the corn calmly like whatever I just said was perfectly normal.

 

"I, I, I can't." Stagger back and stutter. "Do you, uhm, want any food? We can get some." I say, looking at the corn you're eating.

"They could say that to about some too." I say, jogging to stay by you.

 

"All those witches died."
"And yet here I am."

 

"Not only you. And not only witches died." I say sadly.

 

"Only more that have died when I can't."
