World The Torment Of Bob's Tomb - And How To Fix It.

Bob's Tomb. The name strikes fear into many players. And, in this thread, I'll be giving ideas on how to fix it.

Bob's Tomb suffers from the issues with cooperation, and it is especially shown when doing the Reincarnation quest. So, to open Bob's Tomb you need at LEAST 2 players, with one of them being a mage and having a horse. The mage must use teleport to get to a button on the north (left) side, and then another person, which can be any class, to get to the right (south) button. You can either get another person to stand on the middle pressure plate, or the mage can put a horse there. Then, the two players on the sides must press the buttons for the tomb to open. That, honestly, is very irritating to get. It gets worse when doing the Reincarnation quest and fighting Bob's Reincarnation. If one person dies, the rest suffers because they will have to do it all over again to get the item required, if they have not completed the quest yet. And, one person down could make the rest of them loose the fight - especially if its the mage.

Now, how can we fix this? Its very simple. You can make an item appear, or an entity, next to Bob's corpse (the room where you must go to inside the tomb to finish Bob's Lost Tomb quest). The key can be anything - a gold head, the actual key item, etc. It would be an untradeable item. When held in your inventory and you either press the middle pressure plate, or press a new stone button to the side, your inventory will be scanned for that item, and if it finds it, the door will open. It has been shown that it is possible, with the rusted key from the ??? quest. This would help so much for doing Bob's Reincarnation solo, or helping others open the tomb in general.

 

So you need to ever do this quest once and never need more players again?

I personally don't mind it, although I would prefer more action for others rather just "open and you are done".

It still is technically soloable by having a class inside, and I don't mind it.

Still, I do see people having trouble with the quest and this seems like a good fix.

Damn ikr pretty crazy to have an area fully unlocked by doing it's long quests

 

If you think about it, this is actually an awful idea. Less players would feel required to help newer players and people would be completely stuck.
