Possibly using a Alcubierre Drive, that would explain the speed due to the fact that particles could not outrun you due to spacetime warping, and it could be how damage is dealt.

Possibly, if you wanna write something about it I'd be interested in reading it, tho I'm not sure if any of us actually understands it well enough for it
    to be a proper discussion.

Agreed, general relativity is a pain in the ass.

To be honest I probably am going to do either another mage post explaining ice snake or heal. Or doing one on archer, any ideas for topics to cover if i do assassin? Granted it probably will take a lot longer till my next post due to my computer being toast. I got the results from my tests via a friend. But using a phone to type all this up is a pain to do in general.

Not true, he can get the energy to cause the reaction through many ways. My favorite being that because before they added a resource pack mana was hunger so he could be converting the food into energy to cause the reaction. Or he could use some of the particles in the air around him, water vapor has hydrogen in it. And lastly about the helium not having enough energy to bind together remember due to all the hydrogen nitrogen fusion reactions. But its great that people are actually able to have scientifically based questions.

please read some quantumn mechanics and LOTS of Thermodynamic sources(any article about Entropy) before commenting... this is not even a paradox

Its not a paradox, if you limit the amount of hydrogen atoms and protons that are reacting with the nitrogen atoms, you limit the amount of carbon created. So there is no paradox there. Remember each reaction produces 1 carbon and 1 helium, three helium atoms make 1 carbon through the triple alpha process. And both types of carbon are the same. While it is impossible to find the energy source because as said before my computer is screwed and i am typing this on a phone so I can't find the source, the point of this was to explain how it is created, not what provided the energy. Lastly, the thing is that if the mage can do all of that he or she can also probably send electromagnetic radiation in the form of heat to get the helium to fuse.

How did you arrive at that number? You should tell us exactly what calculations you did. I am 99% sure you do NOT need 0.42 tons of TNT to light 14 cubic meters of grass on fire.

calculated volume, accounted for void area (1/3rd of the total volume i'm assuming.) figured out chemical composition of grass, used specific heat capacities of both water and lignin to calculate energy needed to bring grass from room temperature to auto ignition point. Also in this instance It has to A do a perfect job or else the water will put out the fire and B assuming that it is not being caught on fire by another source. Does that explain it?

    No that explains absolutely nothing.

What thermodynamic laws did you employ? What equations did you use?

The main things to account for is that it catches on fire instantly. I figured out the energy to bring the grass to its autoigniton temperature. I stated above that by learning the chemical composition of grass (70% water, 30% lignin) and figuring out how much energy is needed to bring them from room temperature to that said autoigniton point. Its simple, just find out how much energy is required to bring it to a temperature where it 100% ignites. Does that work for you?
