If your ping is low enough there is no problem.
But there are others with higher pings caused by the speed of light being limited.

Explanation:
All signal have to travel either through copper wires or fibre optic cables (first speed ~2/3c, second speed ~c - c is the speed of light in vacuum).
If your distance to the server is not that long, you nearly have no lag.
Others (eg Europeans as me) have a minimum ping of ~100ms just caused by the time signals need to travel from here across the Atlantic Ocean - and then back again.
You may try the calculation by yourself: Get the GPS-coordinates and add up the degrees between both places (IP-track of play.wynncraft.com: (45.504) / (-73.5747)).
360° ~ 40,000km -> d [km] = 40,000*n[°]/360
t ~ d/300,000 (for all smartypants it's 299,792.458)
combining those gives you: t ~ n/2700 (half of ping in seconds -> for ms use 2.7)
T (real ping) = 2*t
eg for me: n = 83° -> T = 83/1.35 ~ 61ms (for direct path with best speed - *1.5 gives you a value nearer to reality -> ~90ms)
