    doesn't really happen.
I wouldn't use it as any kind of indicator of character strength.

Well, except that Olinus went and got help and I soloed on first attempt... :sunglasses:
It was the first time that happened. Usually they have to explain that the bosses are harder than they look.

I am too dense for the riddles and it would be a really long quest if not prepared with the travel scrolls you need.

Another thing we need to take into account is this:
    Combat strategy and experience

The player is storywise fairly young - even though facing a lot up until Realm of Light V, it is only a friction of the understanding Lari has of magic, and Bak'al well...

Bak'al is, as far as my understanding goes, younger than Lari (being created as the first human to enter the portal and being recruited, similar as how Lari was chosen by Orphion around the same time), but in contrary to Lari he seemed to have fully embraced the powers given to him by the Realm of War. He's cunning and knows the weaknesses of his adversaries, and even more how to exploid them. His favourite methods are quick, brutal and efficient strikes with his forces. The only reason Bob was able to bring him to a stalemate was his inexpierence with such a resistance at that time, which startled him, yes - but I'm certain he was far from being really defeated.
Since then he became more cautious with his interfierence into events, hence why he used proxys in AHC as his prefered method until he was certain there was none who had the slightest chance of resisting him.

He takes delight in seeing others trembling in fear. Fear is the strongest, and first weapon he uses besides his raw power, and as seen in the visions of the past, every time the people feared him, fighting him was pretty much impossible (probably one reason he becomes so infuriated when Aledar and Tasim manage to rally the defence in Detlas again).
Bob did not fear him, and that's why he was able to keep his focus and bring Bak'al into trouble. That not only stopped his advance but probably even shamed him, and so he does everything to avoid such a failure in the future.

On the other hand, he uses trickery if a fight turns out to take too much effort, as seen in RoL V by luring Lari to the exact opposite place - presumably Dern - on which they where fighting prior, turning the tide into his favor completly.

And now, taken everything into account, do you really think we players, at lvl 80 with barely even diamond armor, not free of the influence of Darkness, etc... could really face down a master strategist probably on the power lvl of Greg^5 with the disposal of an entire Realm of War full of monsters AND the support of the Dernic forces (correct me if I am wrong, never understood if the Dern Beasr worked with Bak'al in a cooperational manner, if it was servitute of Bak'al to the Dern Beast or just aligned interests).

No, we would be crushed at best. I would even go so far and assume he could do the same with the lvl 106 best skilled and equipped players (on a power scale storywise, not ingame). We lack too much knowledge to really get an edge on him, and noone was able to come close to Bob's mastery of all the classes since then.

But that's only my understanding, might be completely wrong.

To be fair we’re able to beat the eye, and in the world of wynncraft that’s a big freaking statement.

Id say at lvl 100 the player is at least equal to lari and bak’al, won’t be surprised if we’ll be fighting them soon.

At level 80 I’ll be honest though, we’ll most likely get stomped

    Agreed!
Also, remember what the Dern Beast said: "the Olm lost hope, so we could defeat them...". Means as long as people fight back and have hope of victory, Bak'al can never truly win and Dern take over
