If they ACTUALLY want to increase the game difficulty they need to look no further than the player vs mob progression. Players accumulate more and more spells with knockback, stuns, slows, damage while 70 levels into the game you're more or less fighting the same archetypal zombie and skeleton A.Is with higher numbers to throw around. That kind of a difficulty progression is neigh meaningless with an increasing arsenal of status effects and higher damage %s that make mobs extremely easy to cheese, even bosses(which are rarely a step up from that.). The only two boss fight extremes that really happen are 1. Too easy(Map design makes them really easy to cheese and/can't employ any kind of game changing tactics.) 2. Basically impossible(Can't deal damage pass the regeneration threshold and/or envelopes all strategy with an overload of mobs/attacks are designed to be an instant kill on 90%ish players of their level.). Now if you want a better analogy for how this system feels it's basically like having a man 5 houses away from you who will guarantee the removal all your limbs if you pass his house being exchanged with a man next door who will randomly cut off various extremities from you if you pass his. They're better off enhancing game difficulty through nearly any other means then a steeper failure state punishment.

Imagine this, you just ided the best mythic for your class and build possible perfectly, and you wanna try it out so you go out mob hunting, but you only have 5- sp, you decide to risk it anyways, you get stuck in a block and are forced to /kill, you respawn and instantly see that mythic is gone and cry yourself to sleep.

    See my point?

An understandable point. Although I agree with the new soul point system on many parts, I dread the thought of ever acquiring a mythic, then losing it to extreme bad luck (which you would have to have to lose an identified mythic).

look man atleast please buff the soul point regen I mean having to wait till it goes beyond 5 that's far fetched man that means we get 3 soul points less than normal to lose stuff also imagine losing a legendary piece of gear that would be dreadful the old system is way better the only way this will work is if you add more max soul points or faster regen.

Far better, if it fits your build that is. They are also much rarer, and go for varying amounts of LE ranging for half a stack (from what I've seen), to stacks depending on the stats and how urgent the buyer is. Although most have some sort of drawback, they are extremely powerful in the right hands.

Even though I like the new update about soul points I agree with Wimzi and it should be the playerbases decision.

No, it's not. It's good game design.

If there's no risk to anything, there's no point to anything. Countless people already, even Salted, have explained that it's still not even difficult; the risk is still minimal.

If you're not willing to explore ever, because of the (low, mind you) risk of losing a mythic, then you've been spoiled by how easy Wynn used to be. Good games aren't cakewalks; Wynn shouldn't be either.

Last bit, you make it seem like Mythics and Legendaries are almost required to play, or at least enjoy, the game. They're not. Mythics are required to give you an overpowered build that you really don't need. Every boss can be easily beaten without Mythic gear, most without Legendary gear too. By the time you get to the level requirement of most Mythics, there's no reason you need them.

That will be 1% of the people. The rest wont be playing, and those will probably be playing in some lower level areas or towns.

so you are saying that someone who spends time and resources getting a great build should be punished for doing such? i don't know how that is 'good game design' in any means.

That's not what I said. You're not punished for making a build; you're punished for being careless. If you have a good build, you don't even need to be that careful, so if you die it's all on you.

    Stop bullshitting.
