do I have to call this number for the next clue? I don't want to call a real person accidently saying hey I'm just doing a mysterious puzzle whats your favorite cat

 

Okay. I've solved it!

1) If you put the image of the dog in a stenography tool online, you get the message "You know, music and art aren't so different! Always remember that".

2) Converting the image of the dog from .JPG to .MP3 gives a recording of someone saying "h t t p colon slash slash b i t dot l y slash two n g one w h o", or simply bit.ly/2ng1who.

3) This link redirects you to a Mediafire download. If you download the .MP3 and convert it back to an image, you get a picture of a Maine Coon.

The answer is MAINE COON

Also, there are some spelling mistakes in the decoded text of the third puzzle. Are they intentional?

 

ok lucky I didnt, see when i changed it to mp3 all it said was error so I asked Qhuea what it was but then I miss spelled it and got this car company thing.
have you got windows 7 I'm running on windows 10 and wondering if the file change didn't work properly because of that

@awsomthing Like, the name of Cleopatra's wife was MarK, not MarC.

 

It's an alternate spelling. His Latin name was Marcus Antonius, so anglicized it's Marc Antony or Mark Antony. I don't see any typos besides that.

How did you decode it so quickly

 

I programmed a tool in C++ that brute-force decrypts cipher texts encrypted in basic ciphers like Caesar.
