The Lack Of Communication Is Beyond A Joke Now

Just a GIF of a CT member placing ONE block in a new area (against a wall so we just see the color scheme), will be enough to re-launch a bit of hype and make players starts to go onto many crazy theories about what this will be, even though it's just one block.

Just do it.

 

Out of personal interest, does the CT follow more of an Agile development methodology, or do you all tend to use Waterfall development?

 

It seems to me like a fairly large amount of players understand that nothing the CT work on for updates is concrete, and knowing this, why couldn't the CT show us what they're working on and make it very clear that it won't necessarily show up? It wouldn't be like Road to Dern, where RtD was said to be a guarantee and then it never happened. We as the players would have full understanding that what we are seeing isn't set in stone, and therefore we wouldn't have a reasonable reason to complain about a shown feature not showing up if it wasn't guaranteed in the first place. That way, the radio silence is filled for the sake of the playerbase, and the CT won't catch as much (if any) heat from the playerbase for a feature not showing up (because once again, it was never promised in the first place, it was simply shown to fill the radio silence).

TL;DR, CT shows playerbase what they're working on but don't promise any of the content, therefore filling the radio silence and making the playerbase happy while also not being nearly as liable if a shown feature is scrapped/put on hold

 

Firsly why the quotation marks, no one ever said that. Secondly it's they're, not "there". As in they are

 

It's roughly what the tweet stated: "The CT is hard at work on the next update!" which equates to "They're [The CT] hard at work"
