Alright, it feels like this thread is going approximately nowhere fast. Have we considered other options, such as the members of that ancient civilization that used Ancient Runes to accidentally create the Forgery and also destroyed themselves? Or what about some forgotten offshoot of Elves? Qira could also be an escapee of the Realm of Darkness for all we know - a defector who fears the threat of the darkness because she previously escaped from it.

 

She doesn’t resemble anything nor acts like an elf though.

We know next to nothing about those ancients or the Realm of Darkness. They’re both practically equivalent to introducing a new race we have never seen before. Which isn’t impossible since new races have gotten introduced as recently as 1.20, but there simply isn’t much to work with them either unlike with established races.

That’s why Olm is preferred because it’s the only established race that isn’t disqualified as a possibility.

Just because a race is better-established in current lore does not imply that Qira is more likely to belong to that race. Qira does not care what we do or do not know about, nor does she care what we would prefer her to be.

Also, claiming she isn’t disqualified from being an Olm is a bit of a stretch. She looks nothing like them, and there are a lot of hoops you’d need to jump through to place an Olm in Gavel. If I recall correctly, Qira would have needed to enter Gavel (which implies crossing the ocean) before the mages of Mage Island calmed the seas and allowed for such travel.

Unless I missed a point somewhere, wasn’t one of the arguments in favor of Qira being an Olm that she had phenomenal magic power? I mentioned she could be an offshoot of the Elves because they are one of the most magically gifted races in Wynncraft.

 

Usually in fiction people typically use stuff they had established earlier. Qira isn’t a real person; she’s a fictional character created by Selvut. She doesn’t think or care about anything outside of Wynncraft. Selvut does though. Again, can she be some unknown race? Yes. But that doesn’t really tell us much either or leave us much to go off of.

Qira has dark/grayish skin like the Olm. No elves have skin anywhere close to her skin color. Plus we never see any other dark elves or are even mentioned. We already went over earlier in the thread how she could’ve left Wynn for Gavel.
