I managed to make it all the way to the end after about a month of on and off reading. Best. Decision. Ever. And since openbound was one of my fav parts, you can tell i kinda leapt over to see if there was an open spot.

 

well at least you've read it. Are you sure you wanna join the cult though? We can be a bit.... disagreeable sometimes.

It started as RP, and then it just became a general discussion for the webcomic itself. I think I prefer the latter.

Well, if you're going to be joining, I highly suggest you read up on Porrim and have a good understanding of her personality. While RPing your character isn't a requirement for the cult, knowing your character to quite some extent is, and roleplaying them generally opens up more talking opportunities. What Rose means by us being disagreeable is that we've had a few...special members who haven't exactly known their character nor much of Homestuck while attempting to roleplay said character and completely butchered it. When asked about certain parts of Homestuck or contributing, they sort of made a mess.


Also, don't think that I give out special permissions to my friends on joining. I may run the cult, but the cult is a sub-community on the forum. If the majority of people don't want someone, then they generally get removed. Just because you're my friend doesn't mean you can bypass all filters for the cult and get a special back entry pass. The same rules apply to you that apply to everyone else.


Just make sure you know your character and, if attempting to roleplay them, their personality well. Nepeta isn't exactly ":33 < CAT PUNS!!! SHIPPING! CAT FACES :3333333!!!", nor is Terezi "LOL LOOK AT M3 1 TALK 1N 1337 SP34K!!!" or Equius "D --> STRONG STRONGNESS SWEAT! RARRR HIGHBLOODS I LOVE YOU AND I HATE LOWBLOODS! %%%%%!". Characters aren't defined by their quirks, they have a personality behind them and act and react differently to and in certain situations. Just make sure you don't become Super-Porrim, fearless killer of Lord English and wants to get into everyone's pants and/or quadrants. I highly recommend playing through her panels and wiki pages to get a grasp on her personality before trying to RP her if you so choose to.

I wasnt assuming so, you know. I was just saying i knew ya, wasnt saying it'd grand me special privelages. I was explaining one of the reasons i ws joining.

Its gonna be kinda hard since she wasnt there as much as practically every one of the alternia trolls. I might apply for a different character whom i know a lot better.
