Let me settle some things for you. The fact that you're "too lazy" to do something shows that this event won't be successful. Real events require dedication and effort. I started out like this and now I'm one of the most if not the most successful event hosters here. And it's just plain rude that you say only so and so can come. And keep on dreaming because chances are salted will not show up and do whatever you want him to do. There have only been two occurrences where an admin has shown up to a player made event and there's a pretty high chance that this one won't have an admin.

 

Tbh, this thread has gone out of control.

I would highly recommend you think over your event next time, to avoid people harassing you.

As for this, the reason why most events are popular is because theres something to do, like hide n seek or a ball or giveaways, however, all this event is, is just a some what social meeting with nothing to do. If you want to find some people to talk to, then a gathering is not the way to do it. You can encounter very nice people in cities and the world itself.

This will not make people come, even if it is a joke (and hopeuflly it is) people will come if you have something to do, like games or scavenger hunts ect., It takes time to plan out decent events to make people like it, but this isn't the way to do it.

I know you are expecting an admin to come, and I love the optimism about it, but at the moment everyone is busy getting ready to release Corkus, and will most likely avoid social gratherings or anything else for that matter, in order to complete by the deadline.

And probably the elephant in the room is the ranks only, everyone is entitled to do what they want, I get you tried to address this issue, but from square 1, it was a bad idea, as not many people are allowed to buy these 100 dollar ranks (or whtever it changed to) which is why EULA exists

As for others here, stop b*tching and moaning and ranting over it, simply explain what is wrong and what could be improved and that is that, no need for flame wars, just be reasonable about it.

 

Hey, I know that some of you might be upset but please, don't fuel a flamewar here.
It might be true that the thread author is missing a few important points, but what counts is that he intended to create an event for everyone to enjoy, and that shouldn't be met with complaints.
If anything, try to provide constructive feedback, and in case that isn't accepted please don't exaggerate the situation.

 

But hey he did tried to do something for the community, even if the idea sucks we should appreciate that!

 

Enough. I've deleted several comments, and I haven't bothered telling you why - harassment, trying to instigate a flame war, etc., etc.. Any more comments of that nature from anyone and you will be getting my personal attention. And I've deleted the responses just because I don't want to have the original comment(s) in view, so, you know who you are, don't worry about it.
