I was thinking something like the more things they steal the better at stealing they get.
Ok, you let your cats do whatever, and go to the nearby cat café. When you strike a conversation with the manager, it appears that your cats also sometime go to the café for some kibbles and pats, but they aren't here today. After you go home, your cats come back with a crocheted blanket... wonder where they got that from.
