Actually, I think the majority ov the people in this thread have sent the general message that this Archetype idea is not the problem, but rather its execution. Changing the identity ov Steamjet Walkers and making Burnout useless have nothing to contribute to this Archetype concept. At least, that is what I have seen...

To add to that, I have even begun considering new modifications for one ov my current builds since I was able to milk HFG->boots out ov IM :p

 

It has also been confirmed that cases like steamjet will probably be revisited and changed, we should put a little trust in them

Steamjets I agree with since it already fits the T/W/A archetype perfectly, but new Burnout certainly isn't useless - if Shawl of Gaea keeps its raw melee, pairing it with that and Thanos Plate would be really powerful.

 

Heh, if only Centipede and Thanos Legionnaire Chestplate were safe. I would love to think they are because they are both tri-elemental...

 

Allow me to clearify something.
Not every peace of armor in the game will be tri-element, not even most will be.
Whats happening is most armors now have a synergy with other armors in there tri-element catagory, pushing people to use armors within the archtypes. It's not that every armor will be tri-element or that you can't make something outside of the arctypes, it's just likely you make something within the arctype because the items work well together.

(I just got confirmation that the only tri-element armors will be hive and random items like medeis, beyond that, you can reasonably assume if a armor in the game isn't currently tri-element, it will remain duel or single element.)

 

Ov course, but you and I have both seen that there are a few items that have to unite these archetypes; the tri-elemental items. Even OP's Heat Sink screenshot shows that it is tri-elemental in a sense. The air-based ID bonuses, walkspeed and air damage. The thunder-based, lifesteal and dexterity. And ov course the fire-based are obvious. Now it is a matter ov which tri-elemental has to go, the chestplate or the helmet? Will attack speed tier stacking be seen as an aspect ov Earth, Thunder, or both? Or something completely different?

Oh, I just now saw your sneaky edit too. So what you did not say was that this also implies all currently tri-elemental items will cease to be so?

 

I didn't say that, why is it that you take litteraly everything you can and twist it as much as possible.

 

Oh my apologies, I did not mean to paint you as deceitful. But I think it is important to ponder the implications ov these revelations, because if we do not, we risk this very forum thread happening a second time. We are promised that our input will be considered at multiple stages through the development ov this revamp, but if we do not carefully steer IM toward our values, this might as well be any other item revamp that has happened in the past.

 

If done correctly this update could be very good and it is good to know that not every item will be tri-elemental. In the thread they said that sp reqs are being raised such as new fatal having a 120 Dex req. I'm hoping that standard sp boosters such as finesse, prowess and gigabyte get a sizable buff as well so we can have more flexibility in our builds and create different types of builds. Glad they reverted blue mask.

Edit: Literally every item shown other than fatal and the bow have sp reqs in 2+ elements and all of them request 50+ sp

 

So does this mean that boots such as Slayer might adopt a completely new elemental focus, e.g fire/water, or their main elements will just be built upon by adding a new elemental focus to accompany its main element in transferring mythic boots into duo-elemental? E.g. increasing the focus on the air element.

 

I didn't connect on the server for a while, this actually give me the likes to connect and make a new build.
