The Dark Age Of Wynncraft

imo the glory days were about 2 years ago. when it gained a crap ton of players and youtubers were covering it.

 

Actually alot of players do think like that. For instance this thread and alot of the people who are leveled up past 90. And i understand that it was needed, all I am saying is to not make these promises and then not fulfill them, like the constant setbacks in release dates and usual updates now being few months updates. That's all I am saying.

 

I understand what you're trying to say but what I'm trying to explain is that sometimes what we think we can get done in x amount of time is different from what actually gets done. Giving release dates and such gives something for people to look forward to but hopefully constant delays will be resolved in the future.

 

I wouldn't call it the "dark ages" at all, not even close, in fact, Wynncraft is basically thriving right now thanks to, well, Gavel

I personally think those dark ages were mid-late 2015, hardly any updates, delayed release dates, and I was just getting bored with the game in general, but when Gavel released, all of that changed, the game has much more depth now, and while some may prefer the simple times, would you really prefer if things stayed that way? Even if you did, many people would get bored and leave, and that's not a good thing for the server.

As I said, it's not that were in the dark ages, it's just that you (and a few other people I think) are probably just burnt out on the game, in which you should probably take a break

And this is just me, but when you get bored of something, sometimes you may have a more negative outlook on it.

Oh, and about people leaving......
That's a completely normal thing! There are people who get burnt out more quickly than others, I've seen many many people leave in my time here, and if you've paid attention to the forums after Gavel's release, you'll notice that some people here who joined after Gavel already have 500+ posts, so I really wouldn't worry, and like I said, maybe take a break.

I might as well leave this here, not applying it to you OP, just the thread itself.

In this case, DvZ= Wynncraft

 

We are no longer in the Dark Ages my friend. We are in the dawn of a new age. A new Golden Age. We just need to fix the things we already have and introduce a bit more to the scene, and then we will be in another prosperous state!

There were far more darker times. People complaining about Gavel. The huge Wynn War when guilds were released and the rise and fall of Legio Preaetora.

 

nah the dark age was the summer of 2014 to when gavel was released imo everything was dead

 

I really hope they get more streamers/famous content creators to broadcast this server. It would be cool to watch streamers do stuff like pvp and see different points of view people have. Also, wynncraft is truely unique and many people deserve to know about this server. I found out because of the official wynncraft trailer, if I hadn't been subbed to CraftedMovie I could probably say, I wouldn't be here today.

 

I agree, im sure it is a lot better now but its just too much for a casual game i go on to punch a few mobs then and again imo

Solution: Don't set deadlines. You can't keep them

 

Well in a way the pressure of the deadline is productive, as the freedom of "no set deadline" tends to slow down progress. So internal deadlines are always a good thing, however perhaps in the future we should be a bit more careful about announcing releases. Waiting for releases is rough, and delays only make it worse.
