This has nothing to do with respect. I respect what they did for us. I'm just pointing out that it seems that nothing is getting done right now.

tbh i liked wynncraft before gavel came but eversince gavel has been out i have not loved wynncraft at all just because all the element shiet, texturepack and difficult quests.. i just used to be 24/7 online when there wasnt garbel

Not but really, they told us a smaller update after the grand Gavel update would come out in after a few weeks. There has been, 3-4 months now?

Yeeeah it was so much better when there was only one viable set of weapons/armor for each class and that literally everyone was the same. Those were the times.

Personally I liked Wynn before Gavel, I don't mind all the new changes, but I liked the simplicity and the connection it still had to Minecraft. All this new stuff like elements, diff Id's, etc. just seems like too much and too confusing. And I understand that it takes time for good things to be made, but you can't just promise these things and not deliver. Not saying that Gavel wasn't amazing it was (although i wish it was more than just jungle, besides rodoroc), but first it was "Gavel will be out in Summer" nope releases it in December, then "We plan to add lots of small updates to not keep you waiting" nope its been 3-4 months without anything but nerfs (still salty about spell dam nerf) and small adjustments here and there. I appreciate the Wynn staff and all they've done for us but you got to stick by your word, or don't make promises like that.

 

Dont forget about the bug that is wiping out various items out of inventories for no good reasons. That and the fact I'm in a pergitory because of that bug AND being stuck half way to lvl 86 with ToA and the Hive to do only.

And, you know, school.

 

It's hard to set deadlines, something always goes wrong. The bigger the project, the more likely it is that something like that seems to happen. However if we just kept people totally in the dark no one would look forward to the update because they'd have no idea when it'd come out.

 

It doesn't help when you completely off you expected release date by months or turning Usual updates into 3-4 monthly updates. You could just release teasers, trailers, etc. everyone once in a while, no need to keep saying a release date that will just be moved when we get to it.

 

Teasers are more difficult than you might think. It's good to release one every now and then to get people interested but showcasing big stuff kinda ruins actually exploring new stuff when the update hits. I understand that release dates get pushed back easily but making a game is difficult, extremely so. If we don't set deadlines for ourselves, it only makes things take longer.

 

Theres no point in deadlines if you don't release it then, and when you did release it by the deadline you put, December I believe, it wasn't complete, not having quests after lvl 90, broken guilds etc. I understand making a game is difficult and time consuming but make sure to finish before releasing or just don't set the release date sin the first place. I would much rather have waited for full Gavel then to come back and beat it in less than a week.

EDIT: You don't even need to release trailers and what not, just be active in the community. Sometimes we wouldn't hear from you guys or the mods that were on couldn't say anything about it. And when we did hear from you, it was just to hear that the release date had been moved again. Also again I appreciate everything you guys did and I'm not telling you that it sucked because it definitely was fun, just very quick and should have been released full instead of in pieced and then having the pieced be released months apart as well.

 

Sadly most people don't think like that. There hadn't been any form of update to the server in 6 months at that point, we had to get something out. Yes, it wasn't "finished" but there's still a TON of content, so it's not a huge deal that the new endgame isn't quite filled with content, the same thing happened in Wynn for a while and it was fine.
