SPOILER The Corrupted Dungeons' World Is The Normal World In The Future?

It's actually quite the opposite. If the player hadn't intervened, Santa would continue to avoid Selchar while the cultists worshipped their crystal in peace. In fact, the player takes the crystal, causing the past to change. What follows chronologically is that Santa never detects the crystal on Selchar and goes on delivering as usual, until the player shows up on his island and shows him evidence of the crystal's destruction (I think at this point Santa is replaced with the one from the old timeline). Santa doesn't understand the meaning of what the player has seen and miguidedly takes the crystal. It corrupts him while he continues to deliver presents everywhere (including Selchar) until he snaps and takes over the island. One final proof is that Future Tom recognises the player from specifically when he was 10, which means that in that future the player had indeed been in Selchar before through time travel and broken the crystal, which means that this happens because of the events of the stage before.

So basically you inadvertently doom all of Selchar. Great job, hero!
