I completely agree with you 100%. Back when 75 was the level cap, if you had more XP than that when the update was released you stayed at level 75 and had to go up from there. Right now if you get 1 XP when your 101 you level up which is better than what happened with the last level raise. In the end, they did change it a little to help us out but it is also annoying with 10000000s of XP lost. When you were getting the XP, if you referenced what they did last level bump, you would know that it would go to waste. I'm sure lots of people probably did not know because they weren't around back then but I wouldn't blame their methods over it .

(Typed from phone so expect typos and stuff not to make sense haha)

Moe, you misunderstand. We're not asking for extra consideration over other players. We're asking for the experience we grinded back. Not because we payed, but because we put in the time and effort to obtain it fairly just as every other player did, but only the ones who put in TOO MUCH time and effort are being punished for it. This isn't about pay-to-win.

Level by its very definition is an indicator for progress in games. Why else would some things be level-restricted?
I do however completely agree with your naming the last few levels "decorative", which is exactly why I said this wouldn't be an issue if more levels were added than just this one, which doesn't matter. If there was more progress to be made, people would accept it.

The fact that that there is more to do even after you have "completed" a game, does not matter. Does not doing a genocide run in Undertale mean i never completed the game? The same would be true for games like pokemon: you've completed the game when you've done all story-related content and the elite four, etc. even though you can still do things like completing the pokedex or catching shinies... Completion of a game doesn't necessarily mean you've done absolutely everything there is to do.

"an indicator for progress" not a means of completion in and of itself. Think about it this way. You don't complete the game by obtaining a high level. You obtain a high level by completing the game.

As I've already said, doing absolutely everything is not the same as completing a game.
If you really don't think so, let's just agree to disagree

EDIT: I do NOT mean reaching level-cap is the same as completion, but it certainly is a factor

    Oh, I see!
I should be thankful that they shot me only in one leg, instead of shooting both!

You know, it really make sense now. I'm not even being sarcastic, I'm genenly changed my mind.

What I'm saying is since you argue that it's fine not to actually add the extra % that people grinded since it would only add to cosmetic levels that don't do anything, so my argument is that you don't really need to have a computer since you don't NEEd it to live.

I never said it was. I said there's more content to be had, and as such, even after quests it's not necessarily the end. You don't need to 100% to beat a game, but the option is available to you. If you want to bring up gaming examples, look at Pokémon. You grind your team to level 100. That isn't completing the game. That's preparation in order to do so. But in Wynncraft's case, the main focus is the quests. Not leveling. Maybe that's where we agree to disagree though. I wouldn't know.

On mobile so I didn't get to read everything as it's squished as hell and it's 1am and I've been told that stuff I used to enjoy doing for fun (levelling. I would level my own accouts and friends since I found it relaxing call me weird)
But I think I got some of the base points.
The first thing is im not saying people who spend money should get any special treatment for obvs reasons. As someone who has never spent any money on anything sides this server (20bucks here) I am generally one of the free to play peeps but I do think it's pretty unfair to wipe what they got as a side effect of working hard for.

What I do find rather interesting though is the lvl 75 business. I was unaware that their exp existed. Similar to the way we though exp after 100 just simply poofed out of existence.

Although you can bring up the fact that 75-100 brought ALOT more content then the 101-104 which as far as I'm concerned is just for crafting stuff. Which we still have to grind for either way. A few people have made the argument that putting us at 102 makes us explore the new content more. Which in my personal case is bs. I would have spent a lot more time admiring the quest and rather cool new features then feeling like I need to level.

Also making the leaderboards not something of an accomplishment I can't remember your wording but by making it exist. By making something that people can see and compete against each other in.encourages people to gain more exp.
If there was a new leaderboard for li runs completed... people would run li. Try and get second (noones beating YY)

I'll read your whole thing in the morning when I'm not brain dead.
But the lvl 75 thing is interesting. Sorry for typos as I said before 1am and on phone xD

I don't really care about the xp thing since it doesn't effect me. Sorry that happened to those people. But I came here solely to laugh at Moe's hypocrisy:
    >Proceeds to give donators extra spaces to sell their items in the marketplace, making shops therefore easier to run for donators in comparison to non-donors as they're able to sell triple the items on the marketplace at once thank a non-donor can
    >"WyNn Is NoT pAy To WiN aNd GiVeS nO bEnEfItS tO iTs DoNaToRs!!1!1".

    Wynn's a funny game.

Get some sleep. I'm trying to put things in perspective of what we can do, and what we can't do, in light of the EULA. We have some options in what we can do, and those are choices of the owners and admins. We definitely are NOT out to hurt our players. No way, no shape, and no form. We want the game to be as enjoyable as possible for everyone, so sometimes, we have to make decisions that are aren't going to make everyone happy. We know that's going to happen, so we try to do the best for everyone.

Basically what salty said. Specifics are as follows:
    Non-donor: 5 slots
    VIP/VIP+: 10 slots
    Hero: 15 slots

100% not an advantage guys we swear haha

The fact that most of the posts I have seen in this thread that was made by the staff are trying to argue against fixing something instead of trying to actually fix it really shows the state of Wynncraft. If you can not understand why doing the lazy solution of just setting peoples levels to 102 with 0% XP instead of properly calculating the level that they should be is bad then you probably should stay off the internet and pick up a book.

Edit: These are my thoughts on the subject and they will not change so I do not plan on replying to anyone as I can use my time better.

So people are mad? Even though they grinded that xp before the new levels where even announced? That was your choice, there was never a reward for grinding all that extra xp nor was there a promise of a new level cap, in my opinion you made these choices by yourself to spend this extra money. To expect it back doesn’t make much sense they didn’t force you to compete among eachother and use those xp bombs

you act as though the rest of the community will become filled with indescribable fury and despair, then break down into tears, upon figuring out that the players who spent hours upon hours grinding for extra EXP just had all of their hard work pay off to some extent

plus the extra levels are, as people have pointed out previously, cosmetic. they're like a personal challenge. in no way will the rest of the community be affected if these players actually have their work towards this end goal pay off
