yeah inferno is genuinely really bad in its current state and easily outclassed by black so i don’t really know if i’d list it

on the other hand, the other tanky mythic called nullification is actually really good. it hits good damage with nice mana and life sustain. you can get a good one for 2-2.5 stacks.

 

I'll replace inferno with nulli then. At first I wasn't a believer but now I think nulli's actually really good. However I disagree with the notion of replacing inferno with black. Black is just in a really really really powerful state right now. It can compete with every mythic dagger except for weathered and cata, and that's just a testament to how powerful those two are, not how weak the rest of the mythics are.

 

I was really holding myself from commenting on the inferno thing, but what you said here is just wrong.
First of all the entire reason inferno is compared with black is because inferno is most similar to black out of the mythic daggers - it's a dagger which is going to be built most prominently in builds similar to black builds, while having less damage, less sustain and higher spellcosts. Other mythic daggers don't fall into the same category as black does (except maybe cata but cata is cata), and each of them Excell as a weapon in their destined category.
Now inferno's stats are alright-ish for a more or less tanky fire dagger, but it turns out really meh and unnecessary, especially with assassin's vanish.
Inferno isn't considered bad because black is good, it's considered bad because it's.... Well kinda bad.

 

The point I was trying to make was that Inferno isn't bad, it's just that black is too good. It's specifically outclassed by black. I understand that inferno having less overall damage viability than a legendary is embarrassing, but black doesn't represent the baseline for legendary daggers. Also if the criteria is based on purely spells on assassin then Black rivals both Inferno and Grimtrap. They're different elements, yes, but what's the difference between 20k multihits in earth damage vs 20k multihits in thunder and fire. If they have they both have a viable amount of ehp and mana, then I don't see the reason why elements should be separated.

No Inferno is bad

Also Black does not rival Grimtrap, because grim will get more dps with better sustain due to grim having additional poison and ls as stats.
