The Second Dragon
Idk what quest this was from but remember a dwarf telling me about a dragon and Ozoth went rampaging the lands. However the 2nd dragon went in solo 1nce an got captured and killed. I was thinking maybe there could be a quest built around that idea. Its based around a present day and the capturing and killing of the 2nd dragon. My ideas are you start by talking to a repair crew member of Thanos
Repair Crew Member: Have you came here to here some more myths? Or about dragons?
Repair Crew Member: Well you may have heard of about a long time ago dragons used to come and demolish the city. Those were very harsh times...
Repair Crew Member: Quiete a common but true story of Thanos now.
Repair Crew Member: You may wonder why though? Why Thanos is as strong as ever after all of this?
Repair Crew Member: Well you see without help and without luck we would have never been like this today...
Repair Crew Member: You see the wrath of the dragons has returned.
Repair Crew Member: We thought we killed the dragon but I guess not...
Repair Crew Member: We need something more powerful what could easily kill this darn dragon!
Repair Crew Member: You got to do this quick otherwise repairing Thanos will be useless!

After this then he takes you into the past. Then you go and talk to an npc standing on the wall called Artheos (a guard).
Artheos: Wha.. .what are you doing here? Who send you?
Artheos: This is far to dangerous for humans like you!
Artheos: You never know when the dragons are going to strike...
Artheos looks up at the sky paranoid]
Artheos: DRA.. .DRAGONS!

what triggers a dragon attack (short video) of the place getting ruined by the two dragons. After you talk to the king about the dragons who he then tells you about some capturing ideas (the black arrow) .
Repair Crew Member: I'm. I'm ok, just another attack...
Repair Crew Member: I don't see why we haven't moved from Thanos yet???
Repair Crew Member: We need to end this soon otherwise Thanos will be mystery to Gavel
Repair Crew Member: Hey that reminds me. I've heard of something that could capture a dragon with any might...
Repair Crew Member: Legend believes that there is an arrow so powerful hidden alongside a mountain it could even tear of the scales or a dragon!
Repair Crew Member: Its surprisingly a mountain not far from here.
Repair Crew Member: Go and find that arrow and bring it back to me!

So then you go to the coordinates written in your book. When you arrive you come to a door with next to it a crack in the wall. You then go through the crack and into the first room. In this room you will have to do a puzzle its a picture of a blue dragon breathing fire on the stone wall and an arrow and a huge pile of gold in the middle of them . You aim the arrow to hit the chest of the dragon (when shot it is curved) when it hits the chest the door shall open. You go through to a stone hall (badly lit with torches) and parkour up the pillars and chandelears and up into a little picture of a red dragon (Ozoth) you press the button on the picture what then opens the iron bars. When entering the next room you come across a door with buttons on it (a big stone door) what has a sign with numbers on it 123456789 but 123,456,789 and a ridlle what the survivor of the creator of heat shall stand (Ozoth) to retire and weaken as bland. There is clues hidden around the room to do with Ozoth. After finding the clues the combination if correct shall be 721859. This room many guardians will spawn of all elements these guardians will be called (dark guardian's) and drop black tokens which require 40 to get into the next room. These guardians can be any element (random spawn of element) which have the same element for attack and defence. They have quiete low health and are not to hard to kill if your really weak against a certain element. In the next room a dialog happens.
*The floor doesn't feel stable. It begins to shake and crack*

You then fall into a coal block portal to the boss room. After killing the boss (the powerful ghoul elements fire lightning, weakness water) it drops the black arrow.

When you return to the Thanos King the dialog happens.
Repair Crew Member: Ah marvellous!
Repair Crew Member: The legend was true...
Repair Crew Member: You never know what's going to happen....

You also receive a bow

In your quest book it says to prepare for battle (killing the dragon) you walk up the wall and get the dialog.
*You feel a sudden shudder*

Artheos: Huh?
Artheos: Its been a long day I'm seeing this wrong.
Artheos: I know I should be scared but there's only one dragon!

You then get unlimited shots to hit the dragon.

*crash the loud noise of the dragon falling makes you feel safe...*

After the killing it takes you to the present and you talk to the Thanos King
Repair Crew Member: What a remarkable day it was and it couldn't have been achieved without you.
Repair Crew Member: Please take this as appreciation for not only disrupting a danger to powerful to save Gavel but saved Thanos!
[quest complete The Second Dragon]


You get a reasonable amount of xp 2/3 of a level 86 and a dragons scale. This can be sold for 8 LE at a dragon merchant (maybe in the bizarre) its a lvl 86 quest and is based around Ozoth and the 2nd dragon (would preferably work better after the belly of the beast quest to know who Ozoth is).

I would luv to hear your ideas on it or feedback on why its not such a good idea! :D

quests aren't usually taken as suggestions, however inspiration might be taken from them

 

A couple of things:
The King of Thanos is already used in Belly of the Beast. You can't have the same NPC in more than one quest, it's just the way it's coded.
The whole motive for going back makes no sense. So... they beat the dragon anyway without you, as Thanos exists in the original timeline? They risk you messing everything up, for basically nothing. Couldn't they have proven the legend without this?
You're making all classes use a bow. Doesn't that sort of defeat the point of having an archer class?

This means 'strange'. The word you want is 'bazaar'.

Thanos king?
Uh..I heard using same NPC is not possible..

(Or make it different as the 'Ragni's King' on Wynnexcavation?)

 

There are a couple of crucial differences:
Tiek is a Heliolux, who's sort of this mysterious light being, so it makes sense for her to have perceptions of people from the future. The king of Thanos is just a dwarf, and isn't special, apart from being the King. How does he do this? You never give this any kind of credibility.
You don't exactly do anything important in the past in Taproot, you're just an observer. Tiek even says 'We are not in the past, well, we are. But not physically.'
That was a flashback - this is time travel. It's further emphasised by the fact that the player has a crucial role in the battle with the dragon, where in the actual fight this did not happen. Even your text says 'Thanos King: What a remarkable day that was and it couldn't have been achieved without you.' - this basically confirms that it's not a flashback. If you're going for a flashback, just have the player observe the events without interfering, and if you're going for time travel, provide a reasonable reason for it, and a reasonable means for it to happen. Also, the issue with all classes using a bow still stands.

Also, that spelling of bizarre/bazaar isn't even a word.

Yeah okie thanks 4 the criticism but what is the thing you don't like about the idea so much?

 

Just reading the dialogues, the time travel is too blatant.

But even if it wasn't blatant, there is no twist.

For an example, the time travel in Christmas Chaos, in the timeline, the player did the quest 30 years ago, but when he went back in time, it over shot an extra 30 years into the future, and then back 30 years, which is more of a twist than just 30 years and back

Anyways, in another time travel, such as Memory Paranoia or Taproot, the player doesnt travel in time, but rather experiences the memories of others. How? Maybe a magic the player doesnt understand, and even though it isnt a twist, it definitely is better than your time travel
