was gonna joke about how it would be a shame taht he can't use his god-tier pvp skills but then realised he had been playing for 6 years so he's probably pretty good at wynncraft too. I would 100% watch a series on wynncraft if he did one.

I mean, I don't think it's wrong to be concerned about toxic people joining the community, but it's worth it to ask ourselves if we're inadvertently attracting that crowd by being toxic. The majority of the Minecraft community (from what I've seen) tend to be pretty chill.
In the end, toxicity will only stick around if we let it, and if we prioritize a culture of kind, good-natured fun, I think we'll attract a lot of positive players who will want to contribute to the community.

 

Are new players really that toxic? We have this conversation every time a YouTuber makes a video and it’s getting old. Though then again, I don’t keep up with Wynncraft drama so I wouldn’t really know about any toxic players if there were any.

 

Exactly. I don't think I've met a toxic player on Wynncraft at all (with the possible exception of a few arguments in the guild community) and I almost always say "hey" whenever I walk past someone. People either 1) ignore me or 2) say hi back.

 

None of the ones that actually last are toxic

This seems really selfish, but I don't want too many new players all of a sudden. One of the things I love about this community is that it's just small enough that we know a good few people. If it was absolutely huge, it would be able to feel overwhelmed.

Even though I agree with @Melkor above, I don't think I want TONS of new players. Let's take the theorising community as an example. I love it when new players become theorists. But if there were suddenly 200+ theorists, I'd feel like there'd be so much going on that no-one's views would have any meaning.

 

I understand what you're saying, and I do partly agree. I feel like a gradual trickle of new players would be better for Wynncraft instead of a sudden boom.
