Hey there, I see your problems, but every one has a solution.
    1. Lag, this was probably because you were connecting to a server across the world, in discord the location gets picked automatically, but you can change it instantly and with no reprocussions.
    2. Moderating is complicated, while the privilages are quite primitive they do the job and you can easily set up roles and ranks for mods and whatnot, along with the actual moderation all you have to do is click a persons name and you get a menu with all the actions you could need.
    3. Channel tree, this is planned to be added in the near distant future.
    4. A mess of tiles which all look the same, I dont really mean what you get by this, but if you mean the layout im pretty sure there are skins you can get for discord.
    5. Super annoying TTS can be both disabled client side so you never hear it anyway and can be restricted by roles

A lot of talk about the small voice community. Personally I think it is because the strange characters that join the teamspeak to annoy everyone. Not talking about occassional trolls, just saying: a lot of people who just randomly join, cut you off, and either start talking in a fake accent or in gibberish as loud as they can until you move- at which point they follow you. I feel that the voice community would increase many times over if this problem was addressed more vigorously with either teamspeak or discord.

Example: I try to talk to someone who does not have a skype, ask if they wish to go to teamspeak (This is neither of our first times on the wynn ts). Within about 2 minutes a user joins and performs the aforementioned behavior, causing us to instantly disconnect, citing that we saw it coming.

EDIT: Idk if this has been said already, I didn't read all the posts (TL;DR)

On the rare times I actually speak on ts I'm more than satisfied with what we have.
And I actually like the ts voice messages.

But as I'm not a regular user no vote from me.

    For the moment, keep teamspeak.

When I'm on the game, I always connect to wynn TS and one or two other TS servers. I also often have skype on just in case. If I have to add yet an other tool, I might not continue going on the wynn voice servers.
I agree it's a lazy explanation but well.

I got used to teamspeak. Did some lua scripts to enhance it a little (auto join channel, buddy alert only).
There are some things missing in TS but I needed them for other games with real combat hierachy communications for example, Here we don't need much complexity. Why go something "better" if good is already more than enough?
I don't even know if discord handles them.

The only thing that really bothers me on teamspeak are the trollers. But I don't see how discord could do anything about it either.

If you start a discord server I promise I'll try to use it but it realy has to have better stuff than teamspeak for me to stay on.

    Advantages that ARE NOT advantages:
    - Nice UI that takes more ressources? The less ressources used the better.
    - Super text chat is not what I need when playing. I go to a voice server to speak, not text.
    - One of the best feature is the posibility to send a simple link to a channel, I agree it's great. But do you think that many people will start joining the voice server just because of that? On all the voice tools I've used, I've always configured my microphone/ echo reduction and so on. Not sure I'll be inviting people that never used the app if it hurts my ears each time :P
    - Better quality: with the same bandwidth usage? On TS we can configure the bandwidth per user and the codec. Just use the discord codec (Opus) with the same quality if you realy think the voice quality is different. So this is a false argument. If the "player has joined the channel" message bothers you, just turn off the notification.
