Summoner question

Hey guys,
I really love the summoner class, but I am unsure about the new patch. How important is left clicking to attack with a relik. I love to have stuff that does the Dirty work for me.

But the summoner has so much to do and than to also left clicking is a bit too much for me.

How necessary is it and are there other classes or archetypes that fit the niche better?

Note: I am lvl 113 but this is my first class and I am still a total noob.

 

For the Shaman class, if you're looking for an archetype that requires the least amount of work, then Summoner is a perfect #1 pick.
This archetype is 100% playable without ever having to left click (Main Attack), unless you're playing Transfiguration.
Just unpick the "Friendly Fire" ability and put it into something else. Trust me, you're not losing too much DPS at all.

 

If you want a true "chill" playstyle where you don't have to sweat inputs, try Lightbender Mage or a tanky Paladin Warrior. Lightbender lets you heal and pulse passively with huge area control, giving you that effortless, low-apm feel without the constant multi-tasking.
