SPOILER Stone Tablets...

I found this a little while ago. I just assumed that it would be used for a later quest (I found mine during A Fighting Species. When getting into the camp from that underground passage, there is an area where a mob comes out from behind a wall and attacks you. I killed it and it dropped that).

First of all, what quest, what level are you, and which one is it, any proof?

Beacause I am level 61 and there is no way i could of completed a quest higher than my level

ALSO IMPORTANT! The item itself can be dropped but not picked up after a certain time! It dosn't say quest item!

Maybe its a very rare drop by a mob for a giant easter egg or the ??? Quest, if you all had it from a quest, then why are so much people not replying with "Thats a quest item."

 

Remember, the Tablet says "An encampment towards the sun first shines, you will find where the first piece lies." It's the third tablet. I think you get that tablet to get the first one. And, at the sky islands, in the very last corner, is something looking like a camp or little town. Could that be the location of the first tablet?

I was definitely level 75 or above when I got it, I forget the exact level though (I went into Gavel as a level 75, and I'm doing the Gavel quests in order from lowest to highest). As for it not being tagged as a quest item, not all items used in quests have that tag (the volt goat horn is a good example). Mine is in the screenshot below.

I found a secret cave/room under a camp but there was nothing there.
It was the most eastern camp in pre-light forest.

Maybe this is to do with the masterpiece quest, you get a map with the art on it, if you mouse over it it was 0/4....

I don't know, the two collections don't show any sort of connection with each other.
There are currently 4 mysteries that I know:

The ??? quest
The stone tablets
The broken clocks
The gate of time

I am pretty sure the clocks and the time gate are related, and that leaves the ??? quest and the tablets to be related.
Unless all 4 of them are of the same quest, in which case the player has to gather the clocks, go through the gates of time, use the stone tablets somehow, and thus completing the ??? quest.
Hell, I don't know. We will never find out until someone gathers all the clocks and travel through the gates.

 

Goblin guardians drop these tablets. They are very powerful enemies found in the orc camp, during "A fighting species" quest.

I have been trying to ponder on this puzzle for a while as well. After dodging many mobs, I managed to make my way to the molten heights. Should not be too hard to get to that camp area. Ill report back anything I find.

 

This place is completely deserted. The fact that there is no sign of npcs here makes me think that this area is not completely implemented yet. I did find a mansion with an obvious piston door but can't find the switch to open it.

 

Co-ords? I'll go there and look too.
