Community Event Spell-less Archer Challenge

I have a max dex one too ;) -> Eruption or The Traveler -> if you don't like the previous suggestion: Contamination -> Smoking Barrel or wait till -> Soundwave: No explanation needed -> Polar star if you prefer super fast over soundwave -> Redbeard's Hand Cannon -> possibly Destructor if you think it's better than Redbeard's or Soundwave. Note: you can make good attack tier stack builds by level 61 and even better builds by level 80. -> skip Bob's in favor of Heracul or Gert Shootstick Tossflinger (I wrote the entire name without looking it up #wynndatanolifer)->skip the rest of the BS with your tier stacked Shootstick or go to Plague-> The Rainmaker -> profit all the internet karma

 

You see, I just scavenged a decent low-level XP build and grinded in area lower than my actual level so I don't run into immediate death. Hence me being in Nemract at level 34. But yeah, that works too.

 

I just accidentally Escaped while being level 27 in Ancient Nemract. I can't overstate how soulcrushing getting this far then losing everything is. If you think I'm being overdramatic now just wait until I die at level 28.

Gonna try this, currently aat level 5 so far its not that hard manly bc early game damage is kinda stupid, are using horses from other accounts allowed? I can't stand having to walk without speed 3 lol

Well, and here goes my attempt. :/
At least now I know that even normal fences can make you cast a spell if you face them from a certain angle.
The challenge itself wasn't that difficult as expected, although I would assume that for the second half of the game it would become much harder. Most normal mobs you can just pass with the horse and bosses are often possible to kill without even entering their aggro-range. Grinding takes a little bit longer, but in the endall you have to do is just standing on a safe spot and keep pressing your mouse button. But if you had to fight a boss in a small room, the game suddely became much harder. "A sandy scandal" was the quest I had most problems with, after I died two times I randomly found a Mesarock Arch and was able to oneshot most of these bandits.
The hardest part was looking for interactable object (especially buttons as they are often hard to see), but in the end it was actually a fence. ._. Oh, and holes and bugging in the ground became a problem, as you can't escape these with Escape, so I had to /kill each time.
I think I will continue it, although the chat message is gone. It was actually quite fun and now I don't have to be so paranoid about buttons anymore.

 

If you go into controls, select the "Attack/Destroy" option, and then press the Escape key, you set the left click option to "None", which makes it completely unusable. (Credits to @Greeni for that tip.)

With this, and keeping an empty hand when opening doors and such, i might just be able to try and manage this. When I get VIP+ for more character slots, i might wanna try this.

It'd be interesting to try the same with mage, but unfortunately it'd be much harder to not cast spells on accident because they start with right click, and u can't really disable right click and be able to function on this server. In a way yes it'd be easier as it has AoE, but raw damage output is SO much less on Mage than Archer, so bosses and strong, single targets would be harder to kill.

 

I have done this, but the problem is that if you fight in a cave of in a house you will often face a wand. And if there is a button that you don't see (because its dark and its stone on stone) then you might accidentally press it. In this case I stood on the tent and shot down at the zombies, but then I faced the fence (which I didn't worried about because I thought it isn't interactable) and cast a spell.
For this reason I would think that mage is less likely to cast a spell on accident, because you actively need to press the right mouse button, while for the archer your combat button can cast spells at the same time. In combat I would say that mage has a harder time, because you can just ignore normal mobs,while bosses, which are easier with archer, are the real challenge.

You can if you want, but I found singular target damage to be the biggest drawback by far.

I hate single target so good luck to anyone doing it because Ik I can't lol I won't stand a chance once I hit 21 and start bomb spell spamming lmfao
