Spell Damage Calculations

I remember a long time ago Salted posted a rework of spell damage that made it do 40% less damage.
I assume that it is % spell damage is calculated before raw spell damage is. Is this true or not? Or is it the other way around. I want to know because I'm thinking about making a Spell damage build w/ Pure+ a ton of raw spell damage.

 

That 40% less isn't true, or at least not recently.

I see... so the raw spell damage does not receive the spell % ID modifier... This one rework broke Pure ;-;

 

Fixed. Pure was so incredibly op before

 

well, not really. They tried to fix it, but it still ended up broken. Now pure is at the bottom of all (non-existant) mythic rankings.

 

No. I'm not sure that you understand how op it was. I'd say pure is much more balanced now then it was

 

I completely understand how OP it was. It could do up to 48k damage before the rework. (with all that raw spell). and consistently do 24k damage.
I'm happy about the rework a little bit... but maybe nnow Pure could use a powder buff...

 

Well, for every powder slot you give pure, it becomes exponentially stronger, so I would disagree

 

but Pure currently has ZERO powder slots... I didn't say it should get 5, I think 1 or 2 would be enough to make it a usable Mythic.

 

Well, adding 2 makes it op for endgame
1 might be ok...
