Game Mechanics Small Quest Change

So at the end of hunger of the gerts pt1 I have the option of telling the gert chief about the supplies being stolen or something along the lines of that, and then they declare war. But then in pt2 I have to stop them?? Please just give me the choice of working with the gerts and killing the stupid villagers. I want that tower to fall, and I will never play these quests again unless said change is made. I just did the quest and im just genuinely angry now, I didn't want to stop the gerts attempts...
