World Skill Trees?

Skill Trees, I assume, are a well debated aspect of the game. And because of that I will try to keep this short.

Adding skill trees will increase game play time incredibly, adding longevity to the players time on the server. Players love a game that they can make more personal and mold to their play style. And the more skills, the more moldable the game becomes.

Players that feel their time on this server will be a long one, are more willing to donate and buy ranks and perks. And having these perks will make players enjoy the game even more and stuck with it longer.

Being able to say you have 8 classes with a total of 96 different skills (3 skill trees per class with 4 skills to a tree) sounds pretty freaken cool.

The only problem, as far as I can see, is coming up with all of those skills.

What do you guys think?

 

The skill point system is getting completely redone in the Gavel update (comes out in a couple of weeks)

 

The new Elements in Gavel, like Yuno said, will replace the current Skillpoint-System, making it "similiar" to your suggested skill-tree system
