Ok so a couple of days ago I made a post saying about item abilities, and some people gave me some feedback about how the market would get complicated and too much text on items. That got me thinking, so heres what I think should be in Wynn's new update. For anyone who doesn't know, traditional RPGs level up skills. Wynncraft could do the same, but for classes. Nowdays everyone feels like theyre done with their class, and its only bout loot. If i did it, skill trees would work by accessing an UI in the game info compass, click a button where the skills used tobe to see an overview of a skill tree. I know this would take time, but it would add a whole new level for classes, as they could add passive and active abilities, new rewards and now people wouldnt feel like they maxed out their classes, which, lets face it, we all basically have. Maybe even they can add areas to access the UI, that would give a twist to a traditional element. Like u can access the skill tree, byfinding an acctual magic tree.

If it feels too OP than we couldjust have the same skill system, but whenever u level up to a 5, 10 or 2 points, u can get a tree point. That way the tree skill ui wouldbe smaller smaller and easier to make.

    Pros:
New level of depth for classes, since you can add different abilities to each.
New players would feel more intrigued when starting out, as they seee through all the systems.
Gives a twist on an original idea
More reason to find secret areas

    Cons
Mods like Wynntils and texture pack creators have a new section to work on customising
Bosses would be a little easier to beat

How would bosses be easier to beat? Worth some balancing, couldn’t they just like nerf the base class but make you get it back with the skill tree so it’s all balanced, kinda like how str dex got buffed but rainbow skill point items got nerfed so ppl were not op

I do like this idea tho, and add a poll

Hmmm... The idea of a skill tree sounds interesting, however the idea of having completely different passive / active abilities might be too far of a stretch from Wynncraft's sort of class design. One possible solution could be to, instead of adding completely new skills, you could modify the effect of the already in place skills?

this idea about a skill tree is nice but it feels like a bit to complicated to work with. Reason being that from what I heard people come to wynncraft for a bit of more simple mmorpg and skill trees can be very complicated to deal with and learn. I also think the finding a magic tree to accesses the ui is better then add anouther menu because having menus in menus in menus is something you should not do in game because it would confused the player

Thanks for replying, I just feel Wynn needs more abilities in general, like just a bit more in mid and early game

I'd say it's a good idea, as it could add a new depth to class builds, but enemies would need to be reworked to be harder, as the buffs could render previously challenging bosses negligible.

Not neccessarily, since they can make it every 5 to 10 skills points you get 1 tree skill point. That would make it easier but by only a bit, and more powerful stuff would come later.

Yeah but for the skill tree to be worthwhile, it would need to be impactful to builds. This would increase the power level of players, meaning that changes would need to be made to stop the game breaking.
