Reaction/Discussion Siegfried, Gavel's Bob

Why couldn't we of called him French Fried or something.

 

The thing with Siegfried is that you can't really compare him with Bob.
First off, he's a Gavel hero, so obviously they are gonna try and milk him for emeralds, that's just how it is. Everybody who played through Aldorei should know that. Secondly, he is still alive, still doing what heroes do, not just "slaying a bunch of whatever", but rather saving villagers and cities from their problems and they love him for that, maybe a bit too much, true. Maybe we could tune down the stories a bit, even though you haven't seen everything about him, there's moar.
So Siegfried, still alive, still saving cities and citizens, maybe selling some sick mugs for some quick money, he's in Gavel afterall.
I recommend searching a bit more and researching the name, I didn't pick that one without some thought.

Isn't it suspicious how Siegfried is still alive, but nobody has actually seen any of his battles? I mean, they can't be longer than maybe a decade or two ago, so for sure there must be some citizens who witnessed them. But they all just quote his autobiography. I wouldn't be surprised if Siegfried hears of the player at some point and challenges you to a duel, of course selling shirts and tickets for the fight, and then he turns out to be a wimp who is easily beaten. Or even better, he tries to bribe you to let him win. I could think up a whole quest like that!

(Also, I noticed his mother was called Sieglinde, the same name is used for Siegmeyer's daughter in ds1 - possibly inspiration for the 2 characters)

 

Please don't let there be a new Bob's Reincarnation.
They already reused Tower of Ascension. We don't need a new Seigfried Reincarnation.

 

If thats the siegfried we're talking about, he's essentially achilles, whom was the inspiration for "someone's achilles heel" meaning their one massively weak spot. His story was also him being bathed in a mystical liquid, and because he was held by his heel when dipped into the river that made him almost immortal, his heel was weak, and he was killed by a lucky hit if i'm not wrong.

So maybe thats why nobody sees him fight, he might risk revealing his weakness or get distracted by a fan and get rekt

Okay, the feats shown here seem a little far-fetched.
-He deflected ALL but one of the dragon's fireballs, which a warrior like Siegfried is said to be would've been able to dodge, yet lost his eye. Also, if the fireballs were scattered, how did he reach them all in time for them to not land?
-He killed an army of trolls alone. That is literally soloing a swarm. He did it "with ease", and we have no proof of him knowing any spells. I'd like to see an assassin (because Siegfried owned a sword, thus has similar range to assassin) solo a swarm without dying once.

These could just be tales Siegfried Spread. (The 'heroes' who did this could be Wynn adventurers, actually)

 

how did you get from Siegfried to Achilles?

 

The original story of siegfried was that it was an adventurer who slayed a dragon (theres a fukton more but thats a key point) and bathed in the blood of the dragon, making him near immortal, but a leaf fell upon his back, stopping the dragons blood from affecting that patch making a single weak point.

Achilles did the same thing, bathing in a river to make him immortal, but because he was held by his ankle, it created a single weak point
