Recently I've been getting back into Wynncraft and been playing with friends on it more than I used to. We have been creating new characters to play and have been reexperiencing Wynncraft. But with so many characters an issue pops up. The over flowing of quest items. Because these items can not be discarded they either stack up in your ender chest or in an alternate class for storage. Personally I feel that either storage solution ruins the game. Filling up your ender chest makes it difficult to collect armor, weapons, powders, and money. Creating classes for storage takes away from the purpose of classes and the potential for extra/unique gameplay.

This is where my idea of side quests come in.
With the addition of side quests it would allow you discard any and all quest items. To regain them a small task could be completed by the player relating to the quest where the item was originally obtained. This could be balanced with costs of emeralds or other items.

An alternative to this is a kind of receipt system. There would be merchants that could trade you stackable receipts which could later on be traded for the quest item. This would help eliminate the trouble of having a ton of different helmets or other unstackable items that clog up storage space.

Please leave any suggestions for this concept and please take this into consideration.

you can get rid of quest items by filling ur inventory, replacing the quest item with something else (like an emerald) then just hold it while closing ur inventory
just do /fixquests when you need it again
but dont do it with the letters from the lost
    cuz they dont come back
i learned that the hard way
    lol anyway gl xd

You've titled this thread 'Side Quests'. The thing is, as far as I, or anyone else, knows, most of the quests currently in-game are side quests anyway, as at some point, idk when, there will be a series of quests which are the main story line itself, and may well explain stuff to do with the player's origins, taking them across all the provinces and realms. Idk though.

The suggestion itself is ok. Better banks is also a good solution, and in the new update the Slime Scooper, which, iirc, is the only quest item (not helmet) that you don't get rid of at the end of the quest, is getting a disposal method which is nice.

I feel like we really need this because i've maxed out my ender chest and usually only have like 1 free slot for anything

The purpose of putting these quests into the game is to give the player a bit more a fun experience in the game and there could be rare items that are only obtainable during the quests.

in that case, you're just suggesting we add a bunch of low quality normal quests

    no thanks

Shorter doesn't necessarily mean low quality. As I said before it could involve cool and unique equipment, Easter eggs, lore, etc. While the quests are primarily a way to get quest items back it doesn't mean other interesting components can't be implemented.

If "other interesting components" were added then they'd be better off making actual quests with real rewards. Besides, the Bank has been upgraded massively in 1.17, so the issue that caused this suggestion is gone
