Set Weapons

-Currently in the game, there is only set armour, with the exceptions of the pigman battle hammer and staff of the dark vexations... But they don't really count. Actual set weapons for a full level range would be really cool to have. And let me explain how it would work:

-Set Weapons would be part of a group of set armour pieces. Let's take the morph set for example:
You have: Morph Stardust, Morph Steel, Morph Iron, Morph Gold, Morph Topaz, Morph Emerald, Morph Amethyst, and Morph Ruby.

-The WEAPON to go with the morph set would be something like...

• Morph Diamond Spear (Diamond is just an example)
  
• Morph Diamond Bow
• Morph Diamond Wand
• Morph Diamond Dagger

-Each set with a set weapon in it would have a weapon for each class. Whichever class you are, you can only use your class's type of weapon. (E.g: If you are an archer, you can only use the bow set weapon).

-You could still use set weapons on their own, but they would be trash. If you are planning on using a set weapon, it would be best to use it with other pieces of the set so that your abilities are enhanced.

-Since only 1 type of weapon can be used per class, (bows, spears, daggers, or wands) using that class's weapon along with all the set armour/accessory pieces would max out the set, making it complete.

-Set weapons would be found any other way items are revived: Through, mobs, chests, daily rewards, quests.

So, in simpler words... Add more set weapons, for a full level range, for all classes, and make them work basically how the current ones do. :P

Do you mean collecting different types of weapons as in the classes? If so then people wouldn't... cause that's kinda useless. unless they want to sell them

 

The reason they don't do this is because adding weapons for each class would make each weapon a different set item on the list, and you wouldn't be able to get the full set effects.
Also it looks unprofessional.

The only way to do this is to make class specialized sets.

I think I tried to explain this in the thread but it may have not been clear. You would get full effects for using the weapon if it was with the full set even if there are other class's weapons available for that set. Basically it would allow the full set to be used on both types of classes, if you have the weapon for it. Let's say you are a mage, but the set can allow for mage weapons, warrior weapons, and archer weapons, being a mage, it would only list the mage weapon which you need to use to complete the set. The other class's weapons could still be listed there but they could be in strike-through text, showing that they are not needed.

I think he means that is actually impossible to do with how Wynncraft’s YAML system works. I think so too, but I don’t really know too much about set items and how they work

 

funny enough, there's already a couple set weapons in the game, only 2 though

but I also agree that it would be too difficult to program this with each classes weapons, the weapons would have to be class specific, like the one I just showed you.

I'm simply saying this is how it would have to be done with the current set properties.
We would need to rework the set system.

That is a specialized set for mage, can any other classes use the full potential of that set?

Adding 3 unnecessary blank gray spaces.
Which looks bad.

Eh, it's not like the set items really look that good anyways. The jester and black catalyst sets, as an example.

 

We're talking professionality here though.
And Wynn is generally pretty professional looking.
At least on the outside, there are no bad workarounds like what he's asking for here.
