Is your issue that the skins armors used to have are gone, or that the armor is still the vanilla texture, not the texture in the resource pack?
Armor skins were removed because they generally caused a lot of problems so if it's that that's why.

I'm also kinda wondering why the armor item textures are still the vanilla textures when they're in your inventory. (Even tho this is about something different than what everyone's discussing.)
