There are many flaws in your text and it seems like you dont know how exactly the economy works. Next time when trying to convince people at least use the correct terms (supply and demand).
    Thanks in advance.

Me and probably a large amount of players just isn't into the market at all. It's annoying to get into, the only way I'd buy from other players is when I'm in Detlas and someone's selling something affordable

Ok, I'm not sure if there are actually mistakes in @dukioooo's text, however, would you mind being more precise? Actually explaining what you mean by flaws?
About the correct terms, you have to understand this server isn't full of people who have english as their native language. Dukio for example is italian, wich could explain these small mistakes.
Answering to an entire paragraph with 2 sentences just feels rude.

You didn't use fancy terms so you must be wrong.

Keep in mind it was an explanation, not an essay.

As someone whose literally taking micro/macro right now, I can say he did it beautifully. He literally explained the concept of supply and demand and even provided examples. Yes, unless you limit how much items can be added to the automated market, raise the price at which the item buyer buys, or decrease the rate at which people can get legendaries, then there will be a price drop. You didn’t provide any counter examples or even elaborations. All you said was he didn’t use “supply and demand” but he literally explained it in his text as it would be applied to wynncraft.

This is misleading and unclear claim. The price of the items wouldn't drop due to that the sellers are holding up prices too high. But simply because there isn't enough demand for the said items. So this forces the sellers to drop their prices down untill we reach "equilibrium" (where supply and demand are matched). But then again because we dont know the exact changes that might occur in demand this whole text of yours is just a speculation. If trading becomes more easier, then the only thing we can be sure is that there will be more items exhanged.

In your text you've also pointed out alot of the things happening from the perspective of sellers and how prices will drop but you've almost no speculations what will happen for the demand. And this gives out a false outcome what really happens.

I wrote this on my phone so, I'd like to go for more in details about a few things in your text and others who have commented on this thread but this just takes too long to write lol.

Yes, your right about it being a speculation but still his speculation is very impressive.

(why is silent replying through you?)

anyway, yes it is a speculations, there is no precise data about market and/or items collected, sold, bought every day, so everything anyone says is by definition a speculation.

My first "text" was made thinking that:
    1. Players usually don't buy many items (lets say at most 2 per day on average)
    2. Players can drop a lot of items every day (I know lootrunners who get 300+ legendaries per day, and an average player just by playing normally can drop 3-4 legendaries per hour (personal experience))
    3. Items don't expire: once someone has an item, that's it. Unless he drops it in a hopper he will have that item forever, without needing to buy a second one (unless looking for other stats etc, but we're talking in general)

So if the items generated every day are way more than what players need, then my thought is that price will drop to a point were it is close to itembuyer top price (lower than that wouldn't make sense).

For the demand, yes, it will raise a bit, but not much ... as of right now, if you want something you just need to go on forums and find it, 99.9% of the times that item is on sale on someone's shop, and for a relatively cheap price.
Being able to just click on the "Auction House" and find what you need means less time spent grinding for what you want, so more people will buy what they want instead of trying to find it first. .... but again players only need a few items, we would never see players buying 20-30 items/day for themself, 2 weeks and they would've already all the legendaries....

This. Sure, it's pretty easy to find any item you want on the forums, but an auction house would reduce transaction costs massively, which would tend to depress prices - people who would otherwise not have taken the time to sell an item might now do so because it's so easy to do (this of course depends on how the auction house system is set up).

no its not, if the item your looking for isnt level 80+ or rare+ then its going to be really hard or impossible to find on the forums
thats why im really hoping you can access the ingame trading system anywhere on the map, if its not that way then nothing will change allowing people to get uncommon items easier, that wont fix the problem of not being able to find the items you want because theres no reason for you to carry a ton of uniques back to detlas (if the secret is an ingame trading system)
