So I've noticed two things about Wynncraft recently.
One: Adventurers, despite instantly learning how to use a new bow/spear/dagger/(probably the most ridiculous) wands without any training with it, aren't capable of knowing how to use any other sort of weaponry or equipment, such as swords or whips or other such things, though that's probably because that kind of stuff isn't really available to adventurers.
Two: Shields are obviously a thing in this world, several enemies use them. Yet warriors have absolutely no access to them, which doesn't make much sense.
So I figured, why not give classes a secondary piece of equipment that, similar to their main weapon, are specific to their class. They could be put in the offhand slot, but since Wynncraft supports versions that don't have that, I figured they could simply be used in the main hand similar to regular weapons. They are not designed to replace your main weapon, they're more supportive items. You also can't use spells with them, but you can right click to activate them. So here's some of my ideas for secondary equipment!

    Warriors:
-Shield: While using it, you'll be given increased defence. You won't be able to attack while using it, however.

-Whip: Warriors don't have much when it comes to ranged attacks. Makes sense, seeing that they're more melee based, but with this weapon, warriors can have a bit more range. It doesn't do too much damage, but it can ensnare your enemy, slowing them down.

    Archer:
-Tipped Arrows: When activated, these arrows allow you to give negative effects to enemies, such as poison or slowness. They don't last long though, and they have a pretty long cooldown, so use them wisely.

-Trap: This is a device that you can plant down, and when an enemy walks over it, it'll be given a negative effect. These negative effects can range from blindness to slowness to simply damaging them.

    Mage:
-Elemental Book: While activated, these magical books give you an specific elemental buff, giving you much higher stats in both attack and defence for that element. In addition, you can ignore enemy resistance to that element. However, this will also weaken you in another element, removing your attack and damage for that element.

-Orb: When you hold this magic orb, it will give a specific effect (or maybe even multiple effects!), positive or negative, to everyone near you, friend or foe! However, you don't get the benefits or downsides of the orb, which means that some are better for parties, while others are better for going solo.

    Assassin:
-Bombs: When thrown, these explosives have all sorts of different effects, from webbing the the blast radius to giving everyone blindness. Just be warned that these bombs also affect you!

-Throwing Knives: A simple weapon. Unlike other secondary items, there's only one version of these knives, there's no elemental stats on them. They also don't have specific attack stats, and simply deal damage based on a combination of your strength and dexterity.

And those are my ideas. If you have any other ideas for secondary items, I'd like to hear them in the replies.

EDIT: Obviously many of these things have some problems. These are just basic ideas that are meant to inspire the WynnCraft team make better gameplay mechanics.

    not again, mage

I'm a bit uncertain on this one, as I'm not well-versed in the ways of enemy resistance, but I'm pretty sure that ignoring enemy resistance to an element is really overpowered on bosses.

That can easily be used for trolling. If players are affected by the orb, then a mage holding an orb can run around and kill players without dying themselves.

Well maybe it won't ignore enemy resistance, but perhaps it will just do more damage with that element.

True, that could be a problem. I don't think it should give off effects that would actually kill, just more mild effects such as slowness or blindness. Or maybe there wouldn't be any orbs with negative effects, and just ones that give positive effects.

The orbs with negatives should only affect mobs.

I don't know if I like this idea or not..
(Good suggestion though. I see you took the time to type it all out. Better than some can say.)
