Yo, I made it :)

We wanted the sailing to take some time, but not being boring and repetitive. So I came up with the idea of using LOT of randomizers to make each ride unique.
I'm really happy you like that idea.

About the rewards - ik that getting free items from the captain is not the most realistic thing, but it's making the whole thing much more interesting.
Without giving away the numbers, I can you tell the chances to get good items are actually not too high. You can get cool stuff sometimes, but you shouldn't be able to grind it (killing mobs is a much faster way to get those stuff). The chances aren't good enough. I did my best to balance it with Salted - making the rewards good, but not too good.

If you think it's too op or grind-able, I'll change the rewards or the chances.

Also if you like the random dialogues, and want more of them, spam the GMs to help me create more of those for future updates!

Is that a hint that the Corkus update will be skipped? C Skipper? That would be unfortunate!

 

if i remember correctly, one of the user suggestions was a boat or airship system where you could quickly travel between cities or islands and during that travel some random event would occur such as pirate attacks and item drops.

 

I got a random dialogue for you and it's a funny reference to a certain TV show.

[1/4]: "I've heard rumors during my travels across this ocean that sound a bit far-fetched. I'm gonna assume that you haven't heard them."
[2/4]: "Somewhere out here is an island that is made entirely out of sweets. A candy-lover's paradise!"
[3/4]: "Of course, such a thing would never exist. Otherwise, I would be spending my time plucking at the underbelly of the island."
[4/4]: "Why? Because that's where all the salt-water taffy is at! Hahahahaha!"
