    So the closest junk item for scribing near my level is wood shavings. Apparently these drop from a certain mob, but considering it is a rare mob, I would appreciate if someone informed me of either a better place to find wood shavings, or a better way of getting lvl 40 scribing ingredients

    If your scribing level is around 47, go lootrun at llevigar (just open all the loot chests you can find) and Olux. Kill the mobs as well.
    I’ve managed to find tons of crafting ingredients (mostly 1+ stars) for woodworking and scribing this way.
