I like the layout but it just seems really crowed and there is no major focus point to look for. But I like how you actually did the inteirer looks good.

Good job, but crowded, but good.

You and NPC Grian would get along well.

It's pretty neat. Lots of effort put into the build. As other people have said, try sprucing up the exterior wall. I would do this by using signs, buttons, or slabs & staircase (in a walkway or something). You could add signs going entirely around 1 log to make it look like the post was tied there with ropes, or you could have the buttons act as cut off limbs from the trunk of the tree.

It doesn't hurt to put some terrain around the place. Typically, this kind of build might pose a serious challenge for terrain if you wanted to make it as steep as the hill you made on the side. Some shallow terrain with custom trees would really put a nice effect on the town.

To speak about the houses, you would need more design to the walls of them. They lack in block variety and detail. Maybe add the back of a furnace in some of them or a window. The interior walls are not very clean in that they are placed directly on top of cobblestone. To fix this, you should probably either use full stone walls for the bottom floor or use full wooden walls. To add more interest to the walls, maybe add some paintings or shelves.

The graveyard seems a bit too cheerful. Yes there are some flowers at the cemetery, but they aren't growing tulips, poppies, and dandelions all over the grass. Try to cut down on that if you can. =P

I've seen multiple builds where people use water to surround their wooden walls. The problem with that is the wood could rott out and, because there are no stones to keep the walls up, the whole defense of the city could collapse overnight. To fix this, traditional villages with wooden/log walls would have a large ditch or trench with spiked wooden posts aiming outwards. So either add some supports and rocks to the base of the wall, or start diggin =]

Overall it's a pretty build, and these tips are not to criticize you. I hope you can take into account what I've said and think about adding them. I wish you well =)
