What is rune?

A rune is kinda like a relic, but instead of having a shrine, its inside of a block, and can be collected when tapped. You can collect a rune every 50 minutes, and they have set levels.


What do runes look like?

The main idea is to hide them inside of invisible item frames. Also, have them be like spectral arrows and look like a stone with coloured runic writing on it. More like 1 runic letter. Anywho, the colour of the runic writing will resemble an element. So lets say its blue. That means its a water rune. If its white, a wind rune.

What elements/levels are one runes?

Lets say I have a wind rune 1. If I equip it I get +7% wind defense and damage.
Lets say I have a fire rune 2. If I equip it I get +15% fire defense and damage.
Lets say I have a water rune 3. If I equip it I get +30% fire defense and damage

Now that thats cleaned up, the levels for the runes.

If its lv1, it would be a minimum lv of 20.
If its lv2, it would be a minimum lv of 50.
If its lv3, it would be a minimum lv of 80.

Now, for rune locations:

Air 1: Mt Wynn, hidden at the bottom of a tree on it.
Fire 1: Hidden in an obsidian spike at the Roots of Corruption.
Thunder 1: On the side of a house in Ancient Nemract.
Water: Bottom of Animal Dungeon
Earth: On a pillar at the Door of Time.

Air 2: on a tree you can parkour onto at the ToA, it should be just above a branch of leaves, hidden from sight if you are looking from the bottom.
Fire 2: Somewhere on the Great Bridge.
Thunder 2: No idea.
Water: In the whirlpool in the lake in Llevigar Plains.
Earth 2: Somewhere random in the jungle.

Air 3: North of the village on fire, in the tower ruin.
Fire 3: On the ground beside Ozaths Spire
Thunder 3: Outside the Hive.
Water 3: Lake Gylia (On a mountain)
Earth 3: Hidden in Aldorie Valley.

How to equip runes
There would be an accessory thingy beside the necklace for runes.

They might already have a plan for runes... and I'm not just saying that. I think I read that somewhere in this black hole of a forum.

But, I do think this is well thought out, and I like it.

A) It wasnt there, I re added it. I said that to get you to re read.
B) They're hard to find though, and the nerfs I put are pretty significent.

Those were ideas, of course they can be well hidden. I mean, think about it! Rune hunters would have to search block by block, relic hunters only gotta go chunk by chunk.

 

Maybe the Thunder 2 rune could be in the heart of Llevigar?

you no nothing of balancing, do you. Also, I cant wait for powders because theyre only easier to find and I can apply like 20 on to my character, and then happen to camp relics all day because I can claim a powder every 30 minutes. Im so confused on whats op...
