You hear whispering, and then footsteps. Suddenly, the room shakes violently. You hear the clatter of furniture crashing to the ground. You jump up from your hiding spot and say, "Under the order and protection of the Emperor of Fruma's Son, I command you to let me leave in peace and return to Fruma." You see two royal guards and Referl. They all have swords drawn. You aren't sure if they'll believe you or not...

I say to the elf: 'If you truly are a prince of Fruma, you should not feel threatened by the presence of these guards. They will be for your protection, and if your information checks out with the Fruma's Emperor, we will find suitable travel arrangements for you to return home. However, if you are impersonating the royal prince...'

I draw my finger menacingly across my neck.

I dispatch one guard to tell the mages that the situation has been contained, and I send for the guard who captured the eavesdropper.

I head out of the throne room, and nod approvingly at the men who surrounded the building. I head for where the king is being kept safe, to tell him of the turn of events.

 

He isn't actually the Emperor's son. He said he was under the protection of the Emperor of Fruma's son. I'm telling you this because he is an elf, and Fruma is a province of humans.

You knock on the door. She waves her hand, gesturing you inside. You decide to walk inside, and see a a woman, presumably Rhonda, standing near some mage robes. She is chanting the same words from before, but louder. "Wahl daar mul med Dovah Qah" She chants. After a while, the robes seem to absorb the light around them. They rise and levitate about a foot in the air, then float back down. They don't look any different. A young mage you didn't see before stands up. "Thank you again.." She says. Rhonda replies, "You're welcome. Come back if you need anything else." The mage walks past you, and out the door. Rhonda looks at you. "While, what do we have here? An elf...close to 30 in human years. Those are some nice robes you have. Not very good against physical attacks, but I think it has a strong magical resistance." You look closely at her face, and see she is old. Her nose is a bit big for a human, but too small for a villager. She has green eyes. You can tell this woman has seen a lot in her life. "So, what can I do for you today, hmm? Let me guess, you came here to enhance those robes. Yes, I can do that, but it's pricey. Four liquid emeralds for everything you wear now. No negotiating."

You chase after the mysterious person. They mutter something under their breath. You hear the word, "Shit!" Their trench coat blows in the wind. They look back at you, their goggles hiding their eyes. You see four rings shining in the moonlight on their fingers. They keep running. Some archers fire at them a few times. You hear a thud as a lone arrow flies into the persons shoulder. They grunt, and continue. The gate starts to close slowly, but both you, the guards with you, and them make it out. Just as you think they're going into the pigman ravines, you see them make a sharp left turn. They look back again, and see you. One of the guards says, "They're wounded at least." You keep running after the person. You notice that you're starting to sweat. You and the guards are [TIRED]. You notice that the mysterious person is [TIRED] too. No one is happy with this.

You say to yourself, "Shit. Balance disturbed." You look back at the ones chasing you. Two guards and the legend keeper are behind you, running after you. You hear the sound of bows being fired. Looking over your shoulder, a few archers on the wall fire at you. You hear the whizz of an arrow behind you. Something sharp hits you in the shoulder, drawing blood.

You instinctively grunt, and continue. The gate starts to close slowly, but both you, the guards, and the legend keeper make it out. You make a sharp left turn after crossing the bridge. You look behind you once more to see the situation. The guards and Sagertogd are still there. They all glare at you. One of the guards says something. You turn forward again and keep sprinting. The running is wearing you out, making you [TIRED].

Captain Arturo nods. He walks outside for a second. You hear him calling, "Messenger, come here. I need you for a moment!" He comes back in. Followed by him is a young boy, no older than 14. "Get Commander Getan, Commander Ginmar, Commander Quannil, Lieutenant-Commander Cade, and Captain Namoxo." The messenger says, "Yes sir! I might take a while, sir, they're all on their separate boats, sir!" He runs out the door. "This might take a while. These are some of the commanding officers here. Lieutenant-Commander Cade is a bit new here. Captain Namoxo is of equal rank as me, although he's been here almost twice as long as me." He gets up and starts to pull some chairs to the desk. "Just wait here, sir. I need to get more chairs." He rushes out of the room.

Instead he just ran in, You think to yourself.

You wake up in your bed. Looking outside your window, you see the vast town of Rymek. You see the marketplace buzzing with activity. Your tame Herb Spawn growls in it's cage. It seems to dislike the noise. You get dressed and eat some fresh bread. You look out the window and see a small canoe floating down the river that flows through the town. You see a merchant yelling loud enough for you to hear from the mayoral estate. You hear a knock on your door. "Sir...?"
