{rp} Tysra's Aftermath [6/6]

Quickly glance around the room before focusing my sight on the hat, then the one wearing it.
"I'm running an errand for my grandfather. Do you have a [Goggle Lens]?"

 

"Yeah, thanks. Good luck to me." Tae said, getting into a stance that permitted her to both move and punch the fireballs.

 

Kollin turned on his heel and began sprinting through the merchant district. He hadn't realized that dark, gray clouds began hovering over the sky as he ran. As he navigated through the maze of a district, he felt his invisibility magic fade away completely, noticing that some people he was running past threw a few rude glares. Continuing his run, he saw that the sky was growing more and more darker.

The woman cackled lightly and began rummaging through her cabinets and shelves, her cauldron bubbling lightly,

"I see someone's a good boy. Put 2 Gold on the counter as I find these blasted- Ah ha!"

Pulling out a small black box, she turned to face Ky and opened the container. A pair of brand new Goggle Lens shined in the dim light of the room.

"Very well. Let's begin."

A couple of students shouted some cheers and stomped their feet as the fireballs flew above them. One of the fireballs suddenly snapped its circular motion and flew directly at Tae's head!

 

Well I don't suppose I would know what a [Gogfle Lens] looks like, so I'll assume its of decent make. xD

Dig into my bag for 2 Gold and place them on the counter, before reachung for the goggles.

 

Surprised at the quick motion of the fireball, Tae jumped backwards, raising her fists towards the fireball.
With a few quick glances back and forth, she tried to take in where she was in the room and where the other fireballs were.

 

I'll sprint to the tavern in case it starts rainning to stay dry

The woman picked up the coins and bit into each of them, nodding her head before tucking them into her cloak. She pushed the small box towards Ky and turned back to her cauldron. Dumping a couple of herbs in the mixture, she resumed her brewing as if she wasn't needed anymore. Ky tucked the box into his bag and exited The Illusion. He looked up at the sky and noticed several dark clouds growing over him, despite it being fairly sunny.
Item Acquired ~ Goggle Lens: A pair of lens used for goggles. Mainly used for alchemist or forgery use.

The fireball smashed into the gauntlets, streams of fire blazing past Tae. Grelo wasn't joking when he said she could feel the slightly drained power from the fireball, its heat quite warm to Tae's face. Some students cheered and unknowing to Tae, Grelo nodded his head.

Tae took a moment to take in the layout of the room. She was standing right in front of the middle staircase leading up to the table desks. An unoccupied desk was to her left at the beginning of the stairs. She knew Grelo left her side and was somewhere amongst the students, allowing her the opportunity to possibly use the podium behind her as potential cover. Several bookshelves lined the walls beside the chalkboard as well. Guessing the room's size, she thought she has about fifty feet of running distance on either side of her.

Looking above her, three fireballs still soared above her. One of them flew back and forth on the opposite side of the room, another seemed to float above the far left staircase, and the last continued a circular motion above the room. Tae thought about what she should do next...

Kollin pushed his current thoughts out of his mind and dashed towards Goldenberry. Oddly enough after a fair amount of time, he didn't feel any rain pouring on him. Suddenly, as he passed an alleyway, he heard a wispy voice call out to him,

"Stranger...Over here..."

 

Keeping an eye on the fireballs, the girl began pacing towards the desk she had seen. With her fists still raised, she prepared to hit the next incoming fireball, trying to find a point in the room where she could use her surroundings to her advantage.

 

I stop and look over holding my knife in my pocket just in case ''you talking to me?''

Approaching the vacant desk, the fireball that hovered over the left stairwell flew back as Tae drew closer to it. The fireball paused a moment before zooming towards Tae! Tae rushed forward suddenly and attempted to punch the incoming flame,

Her fist slammed into the fireball and the burst of energy flew past her, another chorus of cheers sounding from the students. A small surge of confidence rushed through Tae's veins, her mind whirling with ways to gain an upper edge. Looking around her, she spotted at the top of the stairwell, several cabinets with varying heights and sizes. Maybe she could use that to her advantage. The fireball flying around above her continued its path and the one at the end of the room bounced from side to side, as if it was teasingly taunting her to come closer.

A blast of cold air flew out of the alleyway, sending shivers down Kollin's spine. The same wispy voice called out once more,

"Indeed...Please, don't be afraid. No harm will come to you. Come closer..."

The sky continued to grow darker, a gloomy gray hanging above him. Several lights and hanging lamps were being turned off and extinguished in the buildings near Kollin.

 

"Why? what do you want from me?"

 

Putting a hand on the desk, Tae waited for the next action of the fireball above her, getting ready to block once again. Giving the fireball on the end of the stairwell a quick glance, the woman prepared for the impact of the flame.
She tried to remember what she had in her pockets while she kept a stance towards the fireball.

Another blast of chilly air came from the alleyway, althugh this time, it was less harsh. A mist began to form within the alleyway as the voice spoke,

"A great evil is soon approaching the realm. Few of you are able to stop it. You must heed this warning..."

The notes from Nyxio, Lysanna, and Kindra were still in Tae's pockets, a reminder that they were most likely still watching her. The fireball above her slowed its circular path down and hovered high above Tae. At the glance to the fireball at the stairwell, the flame above her simply began falling down to her! She could hear several students gasp nearby.

As Ky began making his way out of the district, a rough, grizzled voice pierced the air. He looked around, spotting no one nearby as the voice spoke,

"Halt. You must listen closely. Don't run away..."

 

"Sounds like bs to me, but couldn't hurt to hear you out, as long as you don't try to kill me."

 

Reacting to the gasps, Tae looked up at the fireball and upon seeing it falling towards her, she attempted to dodge. If she managed, the girl would try to punch it away. If otherwise, she would do her best to either block it with her arm or brace for impact.

Maybe I should learn how to use weapons.
Ignore and walk faster,

 

A final blast of cold air flew past Kollin and a tall shadow slowly materialized into the mist. The wispy voice grew more feminine as it spoke,

"This is not to trick you. Something truly horrible will approach your home as well as the other kingdoms. A dark prophecy will soon begin its step into reality. You must seek out those willing to aid your cause, before it's too late..."

The light gray mist slowly turned to black as it swirled around the feminine shadow. The sound of a sword being drawn filled his ears as the woman looked as if she was ready for combat,

"It's already beginning. Please, you must leave-"

The mist grew so dark, the woman's shadow couldn't be seen anymore. A few moments later, a flurry of agonizing yells sent Kollin stumbling out of the alleyway.

Tae attempted to roll out of the way of the fireball's descent,

Tumbling to the ground, Tae shielded her face as the fireball slammed into the ground in front of her. While the flames caught onto her clothes, she sensed nothing actually burning. Coughing from the smoke of the fireball's death, she could hear several chairs scrapping on the floor while Grelo called out,

"Miss Belrington and Trenini, take your seats. Miss Dahran can decide for herself if she'd like to continue."

Despite the fireball's impact shaking Tae's senses, she doesn't seem to be as harshly injured as she thought she should be. [-3 HP]

A blast of cold air rushed down the empty street and the voice called out to Ky once more, somehow now in front of him,

"This is urgent! You must heed this warning..."

Shaking her head and putting off the fire in her clothing, the woman stood up shakily and gave the two girls a thankful smile. "Thanks for worrying." Turning to Grelo, Tae smiled. "But I can take a few more beatings."
Turning back to the people in the first chairs, she asked. "Do any of you have a chisel? By chance?"
