He nods.
"Aight. We'll be spending a bit of time here. Be ready by dinnnertime. Also, what's your name?"

You could come up with a fake name if you want.

 

(I don't he would have enough common sense for that.)
"Frederick Wahnsinn, sir." Frederick says, saluting.

 

The captain frowns.
"Swear I've heard that name before," he mutters. He shakes his head.
"Welcome aboard, Wahnsinn. What's your rank? Better not be higher than mine."

 

Frederick thinks for a moment.
"I don't remember, sir."

 

He grunts.
"Well. Pvt. Wahnsinn, we'll come holler at ya when we're ready to leave. Until then, prepare.. relax.. nothing stupid."

so here are the ranks in the ragni army
they're similar to a lot of irl stuff.. but i kinda messed with it
from low to high

"Many thanks, sir." Fredrick says, saluting him before wandering the streets again.

A day later, as you step out of the barracks, a messenger runs up to you.
"Sir, the King requests your presence in his throne room in two hours. Be there. Sir."
The messenger runs off.
You grunt, and head to the mess hall for breakfast.

Two hours later, you amble your way to the castle. The guards let you in.
You enter the throne room, and kneel before the King.
"You called for me, my King?"
The King nods.
"Rise," he says.
You stand up, and glance around the room. You notice three strangers.
"You'll be watching over them," the King gestures at the strangers, "while they are at Ragni."

"Uhm... H-hello there. Y-you summoned us, y-your majesty?" I say, even more nervous than before.

 

"Yes," the King replies. He frowns as he notices your nervousness. "No need to be nervous ," he says. This, of course, makes you even more nervous.
"O-of course," you say. You rub your hands together.
Damien speaks up. "Why have you sent for us?"
"Well," the King mutters, "You're here because I'd like to commemorate your victory at Nemract. You did well, fighting off a horde of corrupted."
You smile inwardly at the praise.
"I'd have you do some jobs for me. Pushing back the corrupted and all. It's unlikely that the corrupted would attack Nemract after being so horribly defeated."
You frown. You saw a corrupted who seemed pretty intelligent.. intelligent enough to see that Nemract was weakened after the battle.
You nod. "Thank you, my.. King."
How are you going to tell him about the corrupted army massing in the Nivla Forest?

I will, your Grace. May I question as to why, Highness?

 

"Th-thank you, sire." I compose myself for a second before warning him. "H-however, there is a p-problem we found on about... O-on the way here. W-w-we ran into a c-corrupted camp i-in the Nivla. We... We think that t-they might be ab-bout to attack R-ragni, so we sh-should prepare. A-also, N-nemract was weakened, a-and I fear th-that they corrupted may f-figure that out... W-we should keep watch there, t-too."

 

The King leans forwards. "Eh?" he frowns.
Samuel speaks up.
"On our journey here, we ran into a corrupted camp, in the Nivla woods. They are massing for an attack and have thousands of numbers. It's also possible that Nemract may be attacked, as well."
Samuel looks at you encouragingly.
The King shifts uneasily in his seat.
"Right. I-I'll have to see the war council about this.. matter. Ah.. Thengel.. please e-escort our visitors to the barracks where they can.. prepare."
With that, the King steps off of his throne and hurriedly leaves the room.

I nod. 'Consider it done, Your Grace.'
I nod at the visitors. 'Shall we leave?'

 

So the barracks would be at about -839, -1533
They nod, and you lead them out of the throne room and into Ragni.
As you walk along a pathway, you ask, "Have any of you been to Ragni before?"

"I-I've been here a couple of t-times... J-just passing through the area, h-haven't explored much of it..."

 

"I see. May I ask, then, what brings you here today?"
