I would, buuuuut I don't like being the villain. I'm fine with being a good guy that's a total a-hole, sure, but a villain? Not so much :P

Probably because I'm a living Yin-yang and my good side takes over whenever I create any characters for anything. Back to doing nothing remotely productive with my time.

Why I should accept you into the RP: Because I've had some experience with this type of thing before, and the setting fits my storylines well.

Name: Brutus
Age: 26
Appearance: Tall, lean, magical left arm. Has a long gash running from his left shoulder down his thigh.
Personality: Grizzled, mean, and cold, but kind once you get to know him. Can make friends, but not for long.

Backstory: When the corruption hit, things took a turn for the worse for Brutus. He used to be a trapper, hunting spiders in the Nivla Woods. It wasn't much of a life, but it was a life. He had a wife, Amura, and two kids back in Elkurn, a young boy, and an older girl, almost 19. While he was out hunting, like any other day, he suddenly felt very cold. He stopped dead in his tracks, and began to panic for no particular reason. It was as if he had a sense for the corruption, because a mere 30 seconds later, the portal was discovered.

Things were quiet for the next two months, but Brutus was scared stiff. He refused to go back into the forest, as he was terrified of feeling so helpless and paralyzed. Then, the invasion hit. The corrupted began to swarm Elkurn, ripping buildings to shreds. Brutus began to freak, and began to panic, as he once again had the feeling of helplessness he had in the forest two months ago. Suddenly, he heard a horrendous scream, a loud crash, a tremendous pain, and everything went black.

He woke to find himself in a dark room, feeling very groggy. When he tried to get up, he felt something peculiar. Well, he didn't actually feel anything at all. His arm was gone, leaving only a stump at the shoulder. Brutus screamed, and screamed, and screamed some more, until he found a note in one of his pockets.

Brutus:

You were hit by a section of the roof, and we were unable to save your arm. However, we were able to shelter you from the Corrupted. This is an old saferoom I discovered long ago, but forgot until just now. We stashed you here, then I quickly wrote out this note. We will stash you in here, then we will run to Ragni. We hope to see you there.

Amura

Brutus was shocked. He was so frightened that he got out of the saferoom and ran so fast that he didn't register the destruction of Elkurn, and he ran all the way to Time Valley. He came to a stop, panting heavily when he saw a stone arm on the ground. He went closer, and heard these words:

HUMAN.
TO PROVE YOUR WORTH TO ACCEPT THE ARM, HOLD IT IN YOUR HAND AND PUT IT IN THE SOCKET. IF YOU ARE PURE OF HEART, I SHALL EXCEPT YOU.

Brutus, thinking he was generally nice, picked the arm up and stuck it in it's socket. The arm said:

AH, LOVELY. YOU ARE PURE OF THAT PESKY FEELING, COMPASSION. WHILE YOU STILL FORM CONNECTIONS, YOU SHALL NO LONGER LOVE AGAIN. I SHALL EXCEPT YOU, BRUTUS THE UNLOVING. YOU MAY NOT KNOW ME, BUT YOU CAN CALL ME DUROS, AND YOU ARE NOW ONE OF MY HOLY KNIGHTS.

Brutus was shocked, but then he realized how right the arm was. He no longer felt love when he thought of his wife, and realized there was no reason to go to Ragni. So, with his new-found title, he set off on a wanderlust adventure, going where-ever he sees fit.

Class (in-game class or original [not required]): Hunter
Primary Weapon: A pure jungle wood bow, gifted to him by Duros
Secondary Weapon: A sturdy hunting knife, made of steel
Spells (you may have up to three):

Arrow Storm:
Call a hail of arrows onto an enemy. Does low damage overtime

Deadeye:
Nock an arrow and fire with superhuman precision. Has a high chance of missing, but does massive damage when you hit.

Call of Dumas:
Summon forth the powers of Dumas. Turns back time on the enemy, causing them to grow younger. Has an insane chance to miss, but if it hits, the enemy is deleted from battle forever. Once used, must wait 2 battles to recharge.

Abilities (you may have three if you have no spells; you may have one if you have three spells):

Servant of Dumas:
Brutus is the servantof a long-lost being. The spell Call of Dumas fluctuates with Brutus' relationship with Dumas (As in, it gets worse the more unworthy Brutus is, and vice versa)
Armor (not required): Standard hunting garb, a leather tunic and cotton pants
Starting Place (can be things other than towns, such as the Nivla): Time Valley
Other: If Brutus ever finds compassion again, Dumas will abandon him, in a very, very violent way

 

Cons:

• When his youngest daughter was born, Brutus was 7...
• Who is Duros? Never heard of him. And from the door of time... (this isn't a big gripe - I'm thinking that I could do something with this..)
• What do you mean, "he realized how right the arm was?"
• The... being calls itself "Duros," yet the abilities are based off of a "Dumas" guy.
• Arrow storm is kind of like the arrow rain in t3 arrow shield (lots of arrows XD).. do they do damage if they don't hit? You never specified that... I think that the arrows themselves shouldn't be too powerful, but.. they're arrows...
• Deadeye...
  
• Your last spell is incredibly OP. Causing them to grow younger? Completely removes them from the battle... forever? In my opinion, you should see what your opponent(s) is (are) about to do - a few seconds in the future. For instance, if.. oh, say Trulm tries to punch you in the gut, you'll see that happen 5 seconds before it happens and either dodge or deflect the punch.
• How will Dumans abandon him? This is stuff that a GM needs to know...

 

Fifth age? Was it an important time period? Don't think I've heard of it.

Nonono you actually haven't got this right ^^
He was not 15 when he was in the elite army. :P If we minus the time it must have time for him to get his "treatment" and getting his friends he will be around 14,5 or whatever. Something like that. Then there is his time in the army which would be at least 2-3 years when you consider that he had to also go mad. That would make him 11,5-12,5 years old. I'm gonna just say he was only in the elite army for 2 years just to be a bit nice to the creator. So that means that they put a 12 year old boy in the army!
It doesn't stop there though. This was an ELITE army. To be that good you'd have to train for MANY YEARS. He'd have to start training at like 7 years old at least XD

Hunter's Instinct:
Brutus can pinpoint exact weakpoints on his enemies, and fire. Does high damage when you hit, but could possibly target the wrong part, doing poor damage, as it's hard to aim very precisely with a stone arm.

Call of Duros:
Brutus taps into Duros' powers, gaining the minor ability to see into the future. Allows you to see up to 20 minutes into the future. Time decreases of increases depending on Brutus' relationship with Duros. Starting time is 10 minutes

Abilities (you may have three if you have no spells; you may have one if you have three spells):

Duros' Soldier:
Brutus is the servant of an old Frumian general lost to time. The spell Call of Duros fluctuates with Brutus' relationship with Dumas (As in, it gets worse the more
unworthy Brutus is, and vice versa)

Armor (not required): Standard hunting garb, a leather tunic and cotton pants
Starting Place (can be things other than towns, such as the Nivla): Time Valley
Other: If Brutus ever finds compassion again, Duros will abandon him by having the arm slide off, and Brutus no longer has that arm anymore.

Why I should accept you into the RP: I have experience, and, well, one spot left so I figure I'll take this chance to apply now.

Name: Frederick Wahnsinn

Age: 47

Appearance: Almost always wearing a cloak. Unnaturally silver hair. Messy hair. Pale skin color, brown eyes. Taller than average.

Personality: Shrewd, always mumbling something, overconfident, slightly arrogant

Backstory: Frederick was a fiercely patriotic farmer. The sort of "model Wynn citizen" you'd expect. He would be on his farm, and when war came, he would take up his sword and fight for Wynn, and when there was peace again, he would return to his farm. He was in a state of being an inactive volunteer in the army when the corruption struck. Despite him being too old for service, he nevertheless forced his way to be drafted into the army. This would prove disastrous, as in small skirmish he would fight, he would be mortally wounded, both physically and mentally from immense pain. Thinking he had become corrupted, he attempted to participate in another battleon the corrupted side, but was again mortally wounded. He was able to be evacuated to Ragni, where he was convinced he was not corrupted. He also happened to nearly starved to death during a siege, and was officially announced unfit for service. He still thinks he is fit for service though, and he is in Nemract thinking he is on garrison duty.

Class (in-game class or original [not required]): He doesn't really have a class.

Primary Weapon: A sword he was able to steal off of a corrupted during the fateful skirmish which nearly cost him his life. Unbeknownst to Frederick, this sword is slowly corrupting him.

Secondary Weapon: Standard Issue Spear - Issued to him upon conscription. It is now blunted and is close to breaking.

Spells (you may have up to three):

Cleanse Corruption - Frederick thinks that this spell helps him cleanse corruption, but in reality it's just a party trick that drains the caster's energy very rapidly.

Abilities (you may have three if you have no spells; you may have one if you have three spells):

Insanity's Gift - Whenever Frederick is on the verge of death, he gets visions of the future. However, if he recovers from the life-threatening situation, it is highly unlikely that he will remember much of the visions.

Speed of the Corruption - (He cannot use this at the beginning of the RP, but perhaps he'll unlock it later on) Allows Frederick, using the power of the Corruption, to gain insane speed abilities for a few moments. This is also drains energy faster te longer Frederick uses it.

Armor (not required): Standard Issue Armor - Issued to him upon conscription. It is very worn down and not very effective.

Starting Place (can be things other than towns, such as the Nivla): Nemract

Other: Potato. Since he is insane, he is prone to random fits of rage. Those around him are more likely to be frustrated with him due to the prescence of his sword, however, it is nothing too major. Again, since he's insane, basically anything can happen, like a hallucinated attacker.

Note: I've edited it a bit. Please tell me how else I can improve it.
