Oh yeah true. Forgot that one.
It's just a weird name to me. The others are named Pride, Gluttony, Lust... and then this boy is named Eight? It just seems weird to me. ^^

 

"Well , that sure is a nice thing to do..." I say trying the hide my doubts "Soo what happened to she get kicked? I imagine it was really serious" I say pretending to look as normal as possible tho i end up looking like some kicked me

"Ok." I head to the King with Akri and Vyrdiin.

"I suspected as much," I say. "No matter. You'll die, pride." I let out my ears and tail. I rush forward, turning invisible VIA illusion and dodging to the side after my first few steps.

I fire light magic at Pride's head. I rush around behind him, trying to be a quiet as I can. I summon 5 illusions of myself around him. They all fire light magic at the same time as myself. The tactic repeats. Once I begin to tire, I engulf him in illusion fire, with heat, tricking him into thinking he's burning.

If I can weaken him to the point where he's defenseless, then I'll reappear. I'll draw my sword, and try to coat it in light magic. I'll just say, "Checkmate," and strike him.

 

"What the hell is that thing?"

I say this as I back away from the creature, close to the voice behind me

 

Fen'ris weighs his options for a second and then yells for someone to help Scar.
"If we were to help Scar, the chances of all three of us getting killed in the process is higher." Fen'ris says to Basil ans he goes for another shank.

From the woman's head, two long black curling horns grow. A giant mace appears in her hand. Her ears become longer and more pointed, and her mouth widens into an evil grin. Her skin turns purplish.

Asakeryu charges, creating illusions and light magic. The kitsune runs around him, firing light and fire blasts from every direction. Pride sighs, leans forward, then leaps, hitting Asakeryu. Grabbing the kitsune by the collar, Pride throws him across. Max shouts, "Watch out! He's an A class!"

Pride starts walking towards the table, dragging his mace. The musicians all run away in fear. Remilia stands up with her sword drawn, with Debulan, Rondach and Max.

Cries come from the doors. Two soldiers drop to the ground. A man dressed in a light blue trench coat steps over the bodies and enters the room. He has long grey hair, and a pair of short horns. There are bags under his eyes.

The man turns to the oncoming soldiers. Suddenly they stagger, and stop, panting. A soldier roars and swings his spear at the man. His movements are extremely sluggish. The man points at the spear, and the swing slows. He steps back, then draws his Long dagger and slashes at the soldier.

The soldier seems to be released from the magic, and he falls to the ground at a normal speed.

 

I stand. "Damn... Not even my magic will hurt him..." I draw my sword. "Maybe he has some sort of... Weakness?" I jab my sword into the floor, making flaming, illusion spikes the same color as my magic come up and surround Pride. I'll scan to see if there's a place where my light magic will be most effective. It's a creature of darkness, isn't it?

"Pride is one of the seven deadly sins, aspects that lead to other evils," I say. "Once you take pride in your actions, you see yourself as too high. You become overconfident. That is one of the most fatal weaknesses I know of. Perhaps it'll be his downfall."

 

"I find summoning spirits a liability, as it is my opinion they wouldn't be able to save me while I'm in a pinch," Sena replies to Firnen while making a pinching motion.
"For that reason, I tend to stick with a physical fight style, with my staff being a mixture of a wand/sword. Very pointy, just like our ears!" Sena laughs, trying to ease the tense mood. Clearing her throat, she continues.
"It's an unpredictable fight style, as the enemy becomes confused whether or not I'll cast a spell or jab."

 

"Get the kid to safety!"
I rush towards Pride, sword ready, and swing it a few times at him.
"Back for some more, Pride?!"

 

"Sure." I say "How high will we go?"

 

"Palmen? You're planning to go to Palmen?" Lucian shakes his head. "If you were a monster, they might've accepted you. But a demon? They never will: they are in a war against the forces of Varogunn."

"As former slaves and beggars on the streets, we couldn't forgive any of those Rehniarians, especially those who used slaves and paid them no mind. I hated them."

"Tornedd has slaves?" Tisaun asks, surprised.

"Had." Ember says. "Max was kicked, and a few weeks later, the newly crowned King brought the end to slavery in Tornedd. Of course, there are still slaves hidden from the public. The Rogues of Rehniar are also working on this problem - that's the reason I am being kept, and Max is still respected as the 'former member'."

 

"Oh. Well... Then I am not sure where to go."

 

Pride steps forward, down the stage towards Rathius, Remilia, Rondach, Max, Asakeryu and Debulan. The man in the light blue coat walks over to a slowed soldier and cuts him down from the back. Elabell and Dreueus, two of the captains, draw their weapons and charge at the man. Their body starts to be surrounded by magical energy. Elabell pulls back her rapier, which charges up with a green light. With a cry, she jabs the weapon at the man. He moves to the side, easily dodging the attack, then turns and kicks at Dreueus, who was raising his one edged sword for a downward blow. Dreueus leaps back, then lands agilely.

The man yawns. Pride turns to him irritatedly. "Sloth! Be serious!"

Pride then turns back. She shoulders her mace, and places the other hand on her hip. "B-class werewolf and cloner, C-class kitsune, D-class harpy, human-formed dragon and a human swordswoman. I will not say easy, but I outmatch you in power. Still, I feel no surge of energy through me. Interesting."

Rathius grips his sword tighter. With a cry, he charges at her with incredible speed. Pride leans back, her hands touching the ground. She jumps, spins midair and lands on her feet. She summons the mace again, and swings it faster than it looked possible - the mace looks really heavy. Rathius dodges, but is instantly blasted by a purple fire.

Elabell and Dreueus, joined by Terric and Rouland, all charge at Sloth from all directions. As they draw near the Sin, their movements become slower. Sloth squats, then spreads his arms wide to both sides, palms wide. Rouland and Elabell is sent into the table and wall. Sloth sweeps his leg around in a circle, knocking Dreueus and Terric's legs under them. Sloth brings his knife onto Terric, but a surge of wind pushes them back. Rumilius lowers his hand, which glows with green light.

"Weeell , i gotta say that having slaves is pretty messed up . That is just , sick ." I say looking slightly angry "When are we reaching this base ? I think i just lost all the good mood . By the way are you talking about Rumilius? I have heard of him but never got into knowing what he did . Also , if you need help with freeing the slaves , im ready for whatever they have ; i just despize the idea of slavery"
