I hit the horse , soo it run away , just after taking all my things from it .I try to make it to the inn , while kicking and slicing the ball-heads in my way
    If not :
"Oh well , seems like you got me !" I say as i stop and get ready to fight
    If i make it :
"Hello ladies and gentlemen , it would be rude if a thousand of ball-heads joined our little settlement right? Soo i would be pleased if all of the good people here helped me block the doors . " I tell the people in the inn with a small bow "Thank you , I will be here all night ." I say , while holding the front door and put my spear as a lock

I chuckle. "It probably the largest city I've ever seen. Then again, I haven't seen many cities. Should we rest before seeing the king or go straight to him?" I pause, then continue, "I'll admit, I'm a bit nervous... I've never met a king before..."

    Extra Prelude: Zeisha

“Halt!” A voice of a man cries. The three carriages roll to a stop. Zeisha stands up and ducking, sticks her head outside one of the vehicle’s roof.

A group of Rehniar soldiers, some on horses and some on foot, forms a semicircle in front of the merchants. A smaller figure rides on a grey horse, standing directly in front of the carriages. The girl has bright blond hair which tied into a ponytail behind her head with a rose red ribbon. Her face is pretty, with big blue eyes and a high nose. She lifts her chin high, bringing out an air of authority around her. She wears a set of armour made from silver and gold, made specifically to fit around her body. A golden tiara with a green gem rests on her head. On her back is a sheathed sword with a cross guard made from gold and decorated with colourful gems.

The merchants murmur behind Zeisha. “That's Princess Remilia of Rehniar!” One whispers. Princess Remilia, fourteen years old, is known across the province as a princess that did not act like a princess. Despite her age, she fought with her soldiers, and was even a captain in the army. A man next to her, wearing a helmet that covers almost his whole face, shouts. “We demand we see your leader!”

Zeisha frowns. The merchant group she is in, the Ravenwheel, is one of many freelance merchant groups that traded goods throughout both the rival provinces of Aurallim and Rehniar. They hadn't done any wrong: what did the Rehniar’s princess and the army want with them?

A large man grunts as he stands up in the carriage, behind Zeisha. He places a hand on Zeisha’s shoulder and gently pushes her to the side. Zeisha sees Martius, the leader of the Ravenwheel, jump off the carriage and walk up to the soldier and the princess. With practiced movements, he kneels down and bows.

“Your Highness.” Martius says, bringing his head low. “To what honour do you come to us…?”

The princess looks down at Martius with a blank expression. “You are members of the Witch’s Cult.” Princess Remilia says, raising her voice so everyone in the carriages hear. “The price you must pay for being involved with the Witch of Kurubiq, of course, is death!”

The merchants look at each other in disbelief. Was the princess bluffing? She certainly doesn't look like she was. Zeisha’s mind goes blank. The Witch of Kurubiq? The Witch’s Cult? What was she talking about?

Martius stands up, taking a step back, not daring to reach for his sword, yet. “What are you talking about, princess? We are not…”

Metal reflects the sunlight as something flashes between the Princess and Martius. Blood splatter on the ground, and Martius falls down, an open gash on his throat. The princess lifts her bloodied sword and points it at the merchants on the carriages.

Cries rise from the carriages. Tearing the roofs open, the merchants jump off the vehicles, their weapons ready. Zeisha blinks in shock, and stays on the carriage, too surprised to reach for her dagger.

With cries, the Rehniarians charge at the merchants. The Ravenwheel is heavily outnumbered and outmatched: they are felled to the ground as the soldiers strike with their spears and swords. The princess herself spurs her horse, cutting down merchants.

Zeisha finally snaps out of her shock. She screams, seeing her friends- practically family, drop dead onto the ground. She draws her dagger and jumps at Princess Remilia, who comes galloping close to the carriage Zeisha is on. Remilia doesn't react fast enough. She starts to lift her sword only when Zeisha’s blade is inches from the girl’s neck.

Something hits Zeisha hard on her head, knocking her away from the Princess, hard. The man with the helm hold his spear, the back of his weapon pointed at Zeisha.

A merchant, with bloodied clothes, swings his sword and deflects the man’s spear. He turns to Zeisha and shouts, “Run, to the forest!”

Zeisha shakily stands up. The merchant swings his sword in a defensive position as the soldier stabs with his spear. Remilia spurs her horse at Zeisha. The merchant girl jumps to the side, then brings her dagger into the horse’s ribs with all her might. The beast screams as it falls to the side. Remilia jumps nimbly off her mount, then stands up and faces Zeisha.

A scream, and the merchant who has saved Zeisha drops to the ground. The soldier plummets his spear down onto the man’s chest. Zeisha looks around, and sees almost all of the merchants on the ground, dying or dead. Zeisha glares all her hate at the Princess, then looks away as tears sting her eyes. Zeisha turns and starts bolting at the looming Dark Forest, Zemboth Fong.

The Rehniarians starts to chase Zeisha as she runs. She jumps over a log and into the forest. She risks a look back at the Rehniarians.

The soldiers peer into the dark forest through the branches at Zeisha. Zemboth Fong is known as the forest of demons: one even darker and more perilous than the Kurubiq. Even they feared the forest, as it was another way into the demon lands, Varogunn. The soldiers jump off their horses and starts to run after Zeisha. She turns and starts running deeper into the forest. Branches and sharp leaves whip across her bare skin, making blood trickle down. Still she keeps running; for how long, she doesn't remember.

She screams into the darkness ahead of herself. Her parents died of a disease in her village. Martius and the Ravenwheel were kind enough to let her in: they had grown to be a family to Zeisha. In a flash, they were gone.

Remilia. You will pay for what you have done. Zeisha curses the princess in her mind. She keeps on running, when she suddenly and abruptly stops.

A cold presence starts to surround Zeisha. She stops still, eyes wide, tears still rolling down her cheeks. She spins around, trying to lay her eyes on the presence. There it is: a small animal with fluttering wings, shadow surrounding it. Zeisha looks closer, and identifies the animal as a bat.

The bat flutters closer to Zeisha. Its eyes suddenly flashes red, and it swoops down on her. Zeisha cries and raises her arms, but the bat reaches her first. The creature bites down on Zeisha’s neck, who cries as sharp pain goes through her entire body. A numbness takes over the pain, and Zeisha staggers. After a few seconds, the bat lets her go, and Zeisha falls down on her bum, blood dripping from the bite mark.

Zeisha’s head starts to feel light; she almost fallsto the side, but balances herself. The bat flies to in front of Zeisha, then starts to transform. From the shadow unfurls black robes, smooth as silk. The insides of the robes are blood red. The bat itself becomes larger, its limbs getting longer, body slim. In front of Zeisha, a tall man lands lightly, his robes lifted by the air.

He has a very pale skin. His hair is white - more like silver, and flows down his shoulders. His pupils are bright red, which seems to glow faintly in the darkness. The man grins - and sharp fangs are visible in his mouth, dripping with blood that Zeisha suspects are hers. Behind him are a pair of giant leathery wings, which are half folded.

The man’s form seems ethereal, flickering into the shadows every so often. He looks down at Zeisha with eyes that are half smiling. With a chill she remembers one of her lessons from her fellow merchants on monsters. A monster that sucked people’s blood… the man standing in front of her is none other than a vampire.

A human host.” The vampire says in a chilling, deep voice that also echoes in Zeisha’s mind. She flinches and places a hand on the side of her head. “Finally one comes wandering here.

The silver haired monster snaps his fingers. Zeisha suddenly finds that she cannot mover her body. She slumps down on the ground, helpless, and hating herself for being so weak. She wants to scream, to throw her dagger at the vampire. He walks up to Zeisha, examining her body. He ends up kneeling next to Zeisha’s head.

Yes, you will do fine.” The man says. He reaches down with his white hand with long, sharp fingernails and touches Zeisha’s forehead.

Zeisha screams, no longer frozen in place. She writhes in pain as the vampire closes his eyes, a smirk on his face. Zeisha feels as if someone is stabbing her continuously into her brain. The vampire’s form flickers, then starts to fade into shadows. The shadow flies in circles over Zeisha’s body, then drops straight into her heart, passing through her skin.

A sudden coldness brings pain to all over her body, making every part of her body numb. Zeisha’s writhing slowly comes to a stop. Zeisha can hear her heartbeat getting slower…

With a last thump, her heart stops. She feels disconnected from her body: a consciousness floating endlessly in darkness, alone.

Through her own eyes, she sees her body rising, even though she is not willing it to do so. Zeisha comes into contact with another mind: a cold, foreign one controlling her body in her stead. Zeisha tries to move but is unable to, because she is nothing but a formless cluster of thoughts. She imagines herself in a body, and is surprised when the same one as her physical body appears, an exact copy. She swings her arms as if she is swimming in a murky water, and makes her way at the vampire’s consciousness.

She sees the vampire testing out Zeisha’s body. Zeisha grits her teeth and hurls herself against the dark wall of the vampire’s mind. He stops his movement with her body.

You are an persistent one. The vampire hisses in their minds. Behind the translucent wall in their minds, the vampire appears. He also appears the exact same as he does in physical life. The vampire swings his arm. A giant thorn comes out of the wall, striking at Zeisha. She clumsily dodges to the side, but the thorn grazes against her right side. Instead of bleeding, she finds that her strength of mind, her consciousness itself, ebbing away from the wound.

Zeisha turns and imagines herself holding a glowing sword, as big as herself. A great sword, with a silver blade, appears in front of her; she grabs it by the hilt and swings it in a vertical arc. It cuts a thorn, which disintegrates into the darkness. She hacks at the oncoming attacks of the vampire, cutting dark thorns and blades. She sees the vampire growl behind the translucent wall. With a yell Zeisha swings her imaginary sword, and cuts through the wall. Bright light shines; the cut widens as the wall starts to crumble.

Zeisha looks up and sees the vampire grinning. She looks around her, and sees vines everywhere, curling around her ankles, wrist, and waist. She tries to move, but with no avail. One of the vines knock her sword out of her hands.

It is futile, girl. The vampire says in Zeisha’s mind. I have the control here.

The vines start to wrap around her neck. Panicking, she tries to summon daggers in her hands…

The vampire lifts his arm. Useless, running from your death. The vampire snorts. Letting your family die.

Zeisha screams into the vine that covers her mouth. She bites into it, but it tightens even more.

You will die in darkness. The vampire says. He flicks his hand up, and a thorn appears and pierces Zeisha’s body, through the heart.

Zeisha gags. There are no pain, only the coldness of pure shadow. As the coldness spreads, Zeisha finds herself blinking in and out of existence. Now she was ethereal instead of the vampire.

Zeisha tries to move, but finds that she can't. When she does try, she feels as if her body is fading away faster.

It's over. The vampire whispers in Zeisha’s mind. Begone.

He was wrong. It's not over yet.

Zeisha sees the Princess of Rehniar cut Martius down in her eyes. The soldiers slaying every inch of her family, the Ravenwheel.

She has lost two families now. Is this how I am destined to die: alone, in darkness?

Remilia. Zeisha’s sorrow fades as she imagines the Princess’s cold face she had made when she ordered the soldiers to attack the merchants.

Red fire bursts forth from Zeisha, casting the black vines and thorns a bloody light. The vampire whirls around, his eyes widening.

With a scream, the fire burns the vines around her body, turning them into grey ashes that falls into oblivion. The flames make their way down the thorn that pierces Zeisha’s body, and the vampire’s defensive wall catches fire.

The vampire lifts his hands to cover his face from the heat. Through the wall of fire Zeisha emerges, in her hand the silver sword. The vampire’s fingernails start to become longer, but before he can use his talons for defence, Zeisha’s sword is already in front of the vampire’s head. With a flash, the blade makes a straight cut through the vampire’s neck. His head disappears into the darkness as it falls down. His body disintegrates.

Zeisha lets go of her sword, and it disappears. She looks into the darkness, panting.

    Was that... enough?

She is suddenly pulled back to reality. Blinking, she moves her body, now hers back again. She frowns, and rubs her eyes. Something is wrong with her vision…

Zeisha looks up. Everything in the world had a shade of red. She looks up, and sees the sky, now the colour of blood. She sees living things, and their body heat, glowing in the distance.

No no no… she looks down at her hands. Her hands, which was olive coloured, is now as white as snow. Her fingernails are darkened, as if it's matted with blood from the inside.

None have yet overthrown my control before. The vampire’s voice echoes in her mind. Zeisha notices a part of her conscience, that was not entirely hers. It was smaller, for a start, and intertwined with her own mind. Some of what the vampire thought came flowing down in her mind.

The vampire senses Zeisha’s confusion. I have possessed you. Now our minds are bound, fused together permanently.

“No!” She arches her neck and yells into the air. Possession, as it was called, was considered the biggest disgrace one could receive in her homevillage in Aurallim.

My name is Dracelt. The vampire rumbles, but Zeisha can sense his amusement. I shall serve you as your vessel, your weapon. What shall we do, master…?

Zeisha starts to calm down. She searches for her heartbeat, but to her shock does not find any.

A vampire does not have a heart. Dracelt comments. Zeisha wonders if he means physically or emotionally. Maybe it was both. Zeisha certainly feels like she was empty, without any hearts.

Zeisha looks into the woods. She sees a glowing orange silhouette of a squirrel on a tree.

Right now, her priority was food. I will eat. Zeisha says to Dracelt, still not accepting the word ‘we’ yet. Then I will look for others like me.

For what purpose, may I ask?

Zeisha looks up at the bloody sky. To kill the Princess of Rehniar.

With that, Zeisha spreads her bat wings, as Dracelt supplies her memories on how to operate them. She flaps them, and a rush of wind pushes her upwards into the air.

She rises into the air smoother than she had expected. She then swoops down at the squirrel, yearning to taste blood to her own shock and disgust.

Sorry I didn't notice your reply last night

Lust is fast. She whirls, and using her talons, slashes at Ventus. Ventus spins midair, trying to evade the blow. An arrow sinks into Lust's shoulder. She growls, then Sim her hands at the ground. The earth explodes into dark blue energy, sending chunks of earth everywhere, blocking the Amazons' and Ventus's view of the cultists.

Yes I do. The one leading the group was the Princess of Rehniar, the King's sister. Her two royal Guards, some soldiers from Oaken on horses.

    "And the carriage?" Rathius asks.

Monsters. Maybe four, including one on the horses.

Kludrin approaches the castle, which is in the third and the central sector. The city is formed exactly like Seminar: three sectors, each divided by tall and thick walls. The only difference, however, is the size: Arcuntar is way larger than Seminar.

Kludrin gives a loud screech. On the largest tower, which has a large platform, green, wind-like spirits come out from the ground. As they approach, Rathius sees that these spirits are all young women dressed in green dresses and with almost transparent skin.

Sylphs. Kludrin rumbles. Take these two to the royal healing house. The boy is to be tended by a spirit doctor.

The Sylphs nod and bow to the Griffin. He lets Rathius and the boy down, then takes off into the air.

A Sylph tells Rathius, "Come, dear guest. You are wounded. We will carry the boy."

"What is with you and Luratos?" Wyrmin asks you as he mounts his horse, and Luratos charges off to fetch his horse.

"Luratos and I were both trained in Forden." Fen'ris says. "Luratos was the youngest student and Vilphan- and one of the most powerful, along with me. After I left Aurallim, Luratos kept chiding me for not using my powers for 'good' and those crap. We got into a duel once, and I ended up cutting one of his old monsters pretty badly."

"No wonder. He seems to hates you." Ilcia mutters from the distance.

    ***

Mike bounds farther ahead than the group with Jenna, Cylessa, Narkel(High Elf) and Airin. Jenna and Airin flies, and Cylessa and Narkel run after them with an inhuman speed. They are way ahead of the main group.

They come to a halt as they come near the ruins. "We're near." Jenna says.

The others catch up with the five. Luratos nods. "We will now proceed with caution. Be ready to fight anytime."

They come into a giant clearing. Jagged stones sprout from the ground, forming a ring in the middle. Ancient stones and crumbling bricks form broken shelters and walls.

"This was a fort, maybe?" Mike says, and steps forward. Kaya lifts her hand, and her entire arm transforms into a long, brown series of whips that curl around each other, like roots of an ancient tree. Kaya stops Mike from stepping in too far. She points with her other hand at the ground: a thin line made from what looks like charcoal. It extends into a long line that surrounds the entire ruins.

"Careful." Kendel, Wyrmin's brother, warns everyone. "This is the barrier."

    "Look!" Basil cries.

Inside the barrier, the Calamity Witch stands alone, standing aside the black ring of stone. A man dressed in Feldurim clothes is walking towards her.

Remilia lifts her hand in farewell, then rides towards the eastern side of the central sector. Emily turns to the others and says, "Lets go to the healing house. They have a spirit there who is specialised in recharging people with energy from the earth, or whatever he does."

    Asakeryu nods. "Sounds good."

    ***

Once Emily, Asakeryu, Rondach, Debulan and Max give their horses and carriage for keeping, they make their way for the healing house, which is built directly next to the castle.

Rathius sits down next to where the boy is lying. A spirit, an old man with a way too Long beard stands on the other side. He is short, standing only as tall as the boy.

He mumbles something incomprehensible, then strokes his beard, which touches the ground. It starts glowing with green energy, which pumps up from the ground. Soon the old man is covered in green aura.

It is a truly bizarre scene. The man leans forward and touches the boy's forehead. Nothing seems to change, but now the boy looks more solidified.

Just then, people barge into the room, talking in loud voices. A dark haired soldier girl, a young boy in weird robes and with a katana, another tall guy with a katana, a hairy, large guy and a petite, redheaded girl. They freeze when they see that someone's already in the room.
